Mort Webster, Veterans Administration regional office manager, says the dividends will go to veterans who currently hold participating VA life insurance policies. The dividends are not a gratuity, but are made because the death rate among GI policyholders continues to be lower than the mortality rate upon which their premiums were established by law. "GI policy-holders will help VA and themselves if they do not swamp us with individual qutstions." Webster said. "Answering them will divert personnel from processing the dividend, and might actually delay the payments." Nationally, more than a quarter-billion dollars in GI insurance dividends will be distributed. Circuit at 10 a.m. First prize is $10; second, $7.50; and third, $5.
