Heads Secretaries
Succeeding Billie Duncan retiring president, Shirley Forsgren of the Kwikset Division, American Hardware Corporation, Anaheim, was recently installed president of the Orange County Chapter of Executive Secretaries.
Directed by Marie Grace of the Anaconda Wire and Cable Company, Orange, and past president of E. S., the 10th annual ceremonies were highlighted at the Disneyland Gourmet Restaurant.
Other 1961 officers include: Ida Mae Fransen, Pacific Telephone Company, vice president; Lucile Ayres, Chicsan Company, Brea, secretary; Marjorie McFadden, Brown Colonial Mortuary, treasurer; Lois O'Neal, Gulledge Machine Works, Santa Ana, sergeant-at-arms; Doris Nelson, Electra Motors, Anaheim, membership director; Evie Darden, McLean and Schultz, Fullerton, program director.
Also installed were: Winnie Stitely, Santa Ana Community Hospital, ways and means director; Carrie Lou Sutherland, Anaheim Bulletin, and Cathy Saiben, The Irvine Company, Tustin, notebook co-editors.

'Sweetheart Ball' Set By Sorority
Mrs. Walter Hemingway, 1028 N. Modena Pl., was recently chosen to represent Anaheim's Eta Epsilon Chapter of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority.
The group's annual "Sweetheart Ball" will be held February 11, with a Valentine theme. The affair will mark the fourth annual dinner-dance held by the Orangewood Region Council of Epsilon Sigma Alpha.
Highlight of the ball, which will be held at the Howard House, will be the crowning of one of the eight candidates as queen.
Assisting on the dance committee is Miss Virginia Bliss of the Anaheim chapter.
The queen is selected on the basis of participation in all phases of sorority activities, including social educational, philanthropic work, attendance to chapter meetings and regional council meetings.
Ebell Meets Easter Seal Task Tuesday
The February 7 meeting of the Anaheim Junior Ebell Club has been traditionally scheduled as a work night for stuffing envelopes with Easter Seals for Crippled Children.
Members will meet at the Ebell Clubhouse at 7:45 p.m. next Tuesday to compete with last year's record of more than 20,000 envelopes readied for mailing.
Mrs. Carl Last, benefit chairman, reports that plans for the Fashion Show Benefit, to be held February 25 at the Charter House, are almost complete.
Patrons and patronesses are being contacted for donations and all monies collected will go to the Child Guidance Clinic.
It was also announced that Mrs. Jack Louis will be chairman of the February tea committee.
Program on Art Slated for Group
Mrs. Henry Lestmann of 9311 S. Hillview Rd., will entertain members of the Chi Pi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority February 8, featuring a cultural program on art.
Mrs. Robert Wiles, program chairman, announced that a guest speaker will talk on one on the organization's projects, the Childrens Hospital for Orange County.
Mrs. Percy Hildebrand will be hostess for the evening.

BPW Club
A statewide insurance plan for members was announced at the recent meeting in the American Legion Hall of the Anaheim Business and Professional Women's Club.
Mrs. Mryl Cypher of Long Beach, coordinator of the plan, explained the program.
Honored at the meeting was Mrs. Evah Drennon of Aurora, Ill., formerly a member of the Anaheim Club for many years.
During the business session, plans were finalized for the dinner, meeting next Wednesday at the Chunking Restaurant here.
On the agenda also was a report on the four large boxes of toys which were sent to the Indian School at Chadron, South Dakota.
Refreshments were served, followed by a film festival of colorful pictures taken in Sweden by Mr. and Mrs. C. Goodwin.
Attorney Friis Joins Foundation
Leo J. Friis, attorney, of 600 N. Clementine St., has become a member of the Charles W. Bowers Memorial Museum Foundation, the purpose of which is to foster, promote, and support educational, artistic and scientific activities.
Among notable gifts to the museum are the art collection of the late Sherman Stevens, and a collection of paintings of the American Southwest by Evylena Nunn Miller of Santa Ana.

The Women's Auxiliary to the Orange County Pharmaceutical Association has announced a busy agenda for February, highlighted by a membership tea.
