The foundation is faith. Faith that gives every day a shining new quality. Faith that provides a strong shelter in time of need. Faith that sustains you in sickness and trouble. Faith that makes life a great adventure, truly worth living. You find faith as a member of a family, as a member of a community. Solid red or green cotton and add a centerpiece such as a jolly Mr. and Mrs. Snowman Ice Skating Rink Nears Completion Anaheim's first ice skating Decorate Home for Yule Season You'll want your home, of course, to reflect the wonderful, glorious spirit of Christmas this year. In addition to a tree hung with sparkling lights and shiny ornaments, why not take advantage of the many home furnishings designed to help you say "Merry Christmas" to your family and friends. Serve meals against a decorative background in the traditional colors of the season. Cover your table in a cloth of solid red or green cotton and add a centerpiece such as a jolly Mr. and Mrs. Snowman made of cotton batting sprinkled with silver glitter. Or dress your table like a giant candy cane in a red and white striped poplin cloth, which comes with matching bibs for the small fry. If you sew, decorate a red or green tablecloth with white bells, Christmas candles, or other appropriate motifs. You can applique these trims to the fabrics, or make them snap on and off so you can use the cloth at other times of the year. Another idea is to make a colorful tablecloth border of Yule-tide greetings in fancy machine stitching. If you have an entrance hall, welcome guests to your home with a cotton throw rug inscribed with the message, "Merry Christmas." Give a holiday look to the nursery or a young child's room with a novelty rug shaped like a Christmas angel. Place a charming snowman underfoot in the den or playroom. Brighten the living room scene with a collection of toss pillows in Christmas colors or prints. The average cow gives milk averaging 3.8% butterfat, 3.5% protein, and many other nutrients in the remaining 87.2%. Gardener's Check List By the California Association of Nurserymen 1. You can prune grapes now, but wait at least another month on Roses, two months on Fuchsias. 2. Garden tools make perfect Christmas gifts for the man who always puts off replacing worn out equipment. 3. Don't overlook the traditional Poinsettia when it comes to deck the halls with holiday decor. 4. Chrysanthemums may be cut to the ground when their last blooms fade. 5. Pots standing in dishes should be checked during wet weather to insure that no excess water is left. Ice Skating Rink Nears Completion Anaheim's first ice skating arena will be completed by the end of February. The $750,000 Glacier Falls Ice Skating Palace will add another major recreation center to Orange County. Developer of the arena is George Baney of Anaheim. ? ? DISCOUNTS ? ?
