OC Delta Zeta Alumnae Plan
Flame Fantasy Fashion Show
Long-range plans for the 5th annual Flame Fantasy of Orange County Alumnae of Delta Zeta are underway.
Mrs. John J. Adamson of Anaheim has been named chairman for Orange County and is conferring with committees laying initial plans for the event which is scheduled Feb. 4 in the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Proceeds from the exclusive social will go to the Uni-Betic Camp for diabetic children. The Southern California Council of Delta Deltas has donated over $15,000 to this project in recent years. On national level, the group also sponsors the Gaudellet College for the Deaf in Washington, D.C., and the Carville Leprosarium in Louisiana.
Anaheim members also working with Mrs. Adamson include Mmes. Frank Samples, Ted Chavannes and Davis Taylor.

Anaheim Assistance League clubhouse, members of Our Lady of the Rosary Institute No. 109, Anaheim, were entertained by Johnny Whiteriver with his puppet, "Spotty Duck." The puppets he made were won by the members. Mrs. Don Dailey presided at the meeting.
A Blood Bank was held in the Anaheim Ebell clubhouse and members turned out to donate blood to replace the quota recently used for members who were seriously ill.
Mrs. Bart Pasini, 830 N. Cambria St., held a social tea at her home for prospective members of the organization.
Members also were invited to attend the annual Ingathering Tea of the Needlework Guild of America to be held tomorrow afternoon from 1 to 3 o'clock in the Optimist Club, 113 W. Chartres St.
The sole requirement of this non-sectarian group during membership week is to give at least two new articles of clothing for children, infants to 16 years of age. Clothes for adults or household linens may also be donated. All donations must be new items. Mrs. Warren Doller, president of the Anaheim branch, announced that 255 articles were distributed to needy children of Orange County last year. The public is invited to attend.
Mrs. Arthur Osowski, mental health chairman for the Junior Ebell Club, has been appointed chairman for the 1960 March for Muscular Dystrophy Drive for the city of Anaheim.
Mrs. Osowski will head the MDAA annual appeal for funds to support a broad attack of the problems created by muscular dystrophy. There are more than 200,000 victims of the crippling disease in this country, most of them children in whom it is nearly always fatal.
"We need over 800 volunteer marchers to make our fundraising drive a success," declared Mrs. Osowski, "and we hope we can count on you."
The house-to-house canvass will be from Dec. 1 to 4 and the set goal is $5400.
Junior Ebell Club has cooperated whole-heartedly on this project but the clubwomen alone cannot do this job. It will take every citizen of Anaheim to help fight this tragic disease.
Anyone who wishes to volunteer their services please call Mrs. Osowski at KE 5-4364 or KE 5-4621.
