Salvation Army Is Friend Indeed To Those in Need During the last three years the Anaheim Corps of the Salvation Army has been a helping hand to those in need. Can you picture yourself as just such a family? A man comes to the door, he is shown into the office for an interview, and it is discovered that he has a family going hungry because he has been ill for sometime and he has exhausted his entire savings. He is going back to work, but there seems to be no one able to assist him through those days until his first check will come in. As Lieutenant Brown listens he feels the utter desperation in the man's voice, he wonders what can be done. Insufficient funds make it difficult to operate an effective program in such cases. You may ask, what can be done for these people in need? The answer is simple: look ahead and subscribe to your United Fund Drive, so that in the future there will be money available for assistance in such cases. ??
