A luxurious new restaurant has just opened in Anaheim... The ROYAL ARCHER... They feature a magnificent cuisine and, to quote a few specialties, Combination Lobster and Top Sirloin... Planked Chateaubriand Bouquetiere... Baked Avocado stuffed with Shrimp... Caeser Salads are heavenly too (this is my pet saled).... The ROYAL ARCHER serves an exceptional luncheon too and each day have a special 95¢ lunch. This is a plush restaurant with prices that you can afford. The decor is very different, with marble statues and all... other fowl too).... When you order roast pheasant here, not only is it a delight in eating enjoyment but a picturesque sight as the tail feathers are left on and is a sight to behold (you can take them home).... Pheasants also can be bought to take home, fresh frozen or baked and stuffed with wild rice and au jus. This would be excellent for a couple on the holidays, if you wish to stay home. This restaurant has so much appeal and so very quaint. Not new but, as Joe puts it, "We do things here that are not new but old and now forgotten."... I could

The ROYAL ARCHER serves an exceptional luncheon too and each day have a special 95¢ lunch. This is a plush restaurant with prices that you can afford... The decor is very different, with marble statues and all... This is the place to visit if you are a gourmet... Luncheon, supper, or cocktails—it's fine. Entertainment nitely... Nov. 15 and 16 is the grand opening. Don't miss it—music and buffet too... Your gracious hosts are Sid LeRitz and Easy Easdale, formerly of San Pedro.
I stopped the other noon at DePALMA'S LITTLE ITALY. It was so romantic and relaxing with the soft mandolin music for background, a fire burning on the hearth... spicy rich Italian delicacies... and rain on the roof... Doesn't that sound great?... This is one of my favorite places and I mean it... I really have problems describing this spot with old world atmosphere but so difficult to put into words... I call it Italy's Knott's Berry Farm only, I believe, more fun. Wine cellars, gift shop, farmers' market (Italian style). DePALMA'S have their own pheasant farm (they raise Pheasants also can be bought to take home, fresh frozen or baked and stuffed with wild rice and au jus. This would be excellent for a couple on the holidays, if you wish to stay home... This restaurant has so much appeal and so very quaint... Not new but, as Joe puts it, "We do things here that are not new but old and now forgotten."... I could rave on and on but the best advice is for you to go to DePALMA'S LITTLE ITALY. You will be thrilled...
For Mexican food, there is only one EL COMEDOR. This is their slogan and is so very true... You will have a difficult time finding a Mexican restaurant to compare with this one, unless it would be in Mexico City... Larry Foy, a well known entertainer (now at the Dunes in Palm Springs), told me that he used to live in Mexico and until he tried the food at the EL COMEDOR he had never been pleased. But here he raves about it... A lovely circular bar is also featured here, decorated in magnificent reds and other bright hues... You will be treated to the organ music of Russ Sweetser. He is fine. This is the last weekend for the incomparable Ink Spots now in the Chariot Room at the ANAHEIM BOWL.
Every Monday is now Dixie-land nite at HAL GREGG'S. You will be pleased by the Bourbon Street Beats, a remarkable group... Served on the patio with those lites that eliminate fog and keep you warm as toast will be southern fried chicken, slaw and biscuits... all you can load on your plate... for only $1.75. Dancing too... The rest of the week will still feature the same exceptional menu, with dancing to those RCA recording artists, the Lyle Odin Trio... Your hosts are Kelly and, of course, Hal Gregg, the ex-Dodger star.
In every city, down the side street off the main drag, you'll find an old restaurant, shabby, dull, run down and tired looking. A place that has no glare, tinsel, or polish, and the only reason for its existence is to cater to people who still enjoy the art of good eating, where the food is rich, heavy, and full flavored, and every dinner is an 8-course feast, complete from beginning to end,

FJC Shop Gets Electronic Device
Fullerton Junior College auto shop has received the gift of a $700 Anal-O-Scope, an electronic device which diagnoses automotive "ills" with an oscilloscope:
The equipment, given to the college on consignment by the Snap-On Tool, Inc., firm, will be used both as a classroom instructional tool and as working equipment used by student mechanics.
The equipment permits the student to analyze engine ignition systems by studying trace patterns on a television-type cathode ray tube.

For the third program of its current season, the Chapman College Great Films Guild has selected "The 400 Blows." Two 8 p.m. showings of the French film are set for Nov. 16 and 17 in the Orange Theater.
"The 400 Blows," produced and directed by Francois Truffaut, received the first prize for direction at last year's Cannes Film Festival. It was Truffaut's first effort in the field of motion pictures.
Featured in the leading role is 12-year-old Jean-Pierre Leaud, who was among the nominees for the best actor of 1959 in France's annual film competition, marking the first time in French film history that a child has been so honored.
"The 400 Blows" is a factual recounting of Truffaut's own childhood. Its story concerns efforts of a boy, neglected at home, to gain friendship and sympathy elsewhere. His efforts lead him more and more into the life of a juvenile delinquent.
The closing scenes of the film, in which the boy is running away from a juvenile delinquents' home, have been acclaimed by critics as one of the classic sequences in motion picture history.
