Centralia Teachers' Club to View Film
Centralia Teachers' Club will hold its first monthly meeting of the new school year at Buena Terra School on Monday afternoon, Oct. 17, at 3:30. Mrs. Violet Vollbrecht, president, will preside.
John Allen, vice-president and program chairman, in announcing the program, says a '27-minute film in sound and color will be presented. Entitled "Water and You," the film tells the story of the proposal to bring Northern California water into the Southland. A $1.75 billion bond issue for the project appears as Proposition 1 on the November ballot—largest bond issue ever to be voted on in California.

the program, says a 27-minute film in sound and color will be presented. Entitled "Water and You," the film tells the story of the proposal to bring Northern California water into the Southland. A $1.75 billion bond issue for the project appears as Proposition 1 on the November ballot—largest bond issue ever to be voted on in California.
The complete project indicates that most of the water falls in the north part of the state where the least population is, while Southern California, where most of the population is, receives only two per cent. The film, which Allen is urging all the teachers in Centralia elementary district to see, outlines where water should logically go from north to south.
'Bosses' Night'
Next Monday
Directors of School Maintenance and Operations in Orange County will have "Bosses' Night" when they hold their regular monthly meeting.
The dinner affair will be held Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m. at Chungking Cafe, 327 ECenter St., Anaheim. School superintendent will be present to hear John "Sky" Dunlap of Santa Ana College speak on personnel.
Reservations are requested for this one meeting of the group, according to Herb Bass, Centralia School District, who is publicity chairman. All interested school personnel are invited and are asked to call Cleo Mossman at Magnolia Schill District if they wish to attend.
