We were entertained in the expected manner. With Al McIntires Hawaiian Orchestra and terrific dancers giving us the hula bit, with fire dancers etc. The HAWAIIAN restaurant is noted for their outstanding cantonese and American dishes... with beautiful lifting music and excellent services... Your lovely hostess is Mrs. (Mack) Steele. If you missed out on the other Luaus You are still in luck. One of the biggest will be held next Saturday. At the Fabulous REEF in Long Beach. This will be the Luau to end all Luau's. It will be held on their Luau grounds... at the edge of the beautiful blue Pacific (with the skylines of Long Beach) maybe not as big but just as magnificent as New York) with palm trees and lovely ocean breezes that give a true Tropical atmosphere... Hats and leis for all. This will be held Sat. from 6 p.m. til midnight. I've already made my reservations... and You better hurry because you will be sorry if you miss this one. So Romantic under the stars with the ocean surrounding the area. What more could you ask and You don't have to go to the South Seas to get it. There will be dancing for all... and authentic entertainment. You will have Pig roasted right in front of you, Chicken and long rice, beef on a stick puaaKalua, Haudl, pingapple, yams, coconut pudding and scads of other concoctions that I can't pronounce let alone spell... for a nite that you will long remember it's the REEF on Harbor scenic drive in Long Beach. The New Club SOMBERO in Belmont Shore gives you the most in Jazz... You won't find I've stated this many times and I still mean it... The food was delicious (I've never tried Japanese cooking before and I really like it). You will be put in a mood with enchanting oriental music. For dessert my escort and I were served rice cookies and big black cherries. Oh yes you will sit on the floor at a table about a ft. and a half high. AND eat with chop sticks. Have you ever tried chop sticks on rice, THAT is an experience. You may take home the menu and chop Sticks Home. If you wish to loose weight I highly recommend eating with these Chop sticks all the time. It can really slow you up. THE SAYA-NARA is wonderful. Its truly a delightful experience. I plan to go again very soon... are private in the manner . .
