However, formal dedication probably will take place next December, it was announced by Robert L. Williams, executive director. The pool, first unit of a half-milliondollar rehabilitation center planned by the Society, will provide therapy for 150 crippled children twice a week as soon as it is opened. Already in place is the mono-rail-type lift that will transport the more severely crippled patients and those in wheelchairs into and out of the pool. The pool is located in Orange. Southland Tourist Trade Shows Gain Tourists spent $48,678,000 in Southern California during June, the All-Year Club reported today. This was 7 per cent ahead of last year. The money was spent by 308,000 pleasure visitors from other states and foreign countries, according to Charles Detoy, president of the community tourist advertising organization. They spent at the rate of $1,-622,619 a day, most of the dollars going directly into retail trade channels where they quickly spread over the area. Last year tourist spendings reached an all-time high of over $644 million.
