Center at Lemon Downtown Anaheim Apple Free Parking 720 Jet Transports First of the intermediate range Boeing 720 jet transports to enter service will begin flying American Airlines routes late summer, it was announced Monday by C. R. Smith, airline president. A lighter and slightly smaller version of the Boeing 707 which inaugurated commercial jet travel in the United States, the 720 designed to cruise in excess of 615 miles an hour for ranges up to 2,000 miles. The 720 is 8½ shorter than the 707 and weighs some 13 tons less at maximum take-off loading. However, the two models are identical in appearance that most passengers will be unable to distinguish between them. First of the 25 720s to be received by American Airlines during the next year is now undergoing certification tests near Seattle. All hibiscus like a mulch to keep roots cool during the hot weather, as well as filtered sun for best show of summer-to-fall color. 2. Raise the blades on your lawn mower as taller grass won't be scorched as readily by the hot summer sun. Follow a regular watering, feeding and weeding schedule to keep the lawn green and vigorous during this season. 3. Prune shrubs that bloomed in spring, such as: weigela, spiraea, forsythia and phalaedelphus. Thin and cut back branches to help along new flowering wood. 4. Blooming fuchsias are ready at C. A. N. nurseries for you to set in the ground, or grow in containers for the patio, or in hanging baskets. Keep fuchsias well watered. Occasionally it's a good idea to submerge the entire pot in a pan of water during hottest weather to saturate the root ball. 5. With blue hydrangeas, the C. A. N. suggests generally a monthly application of aluminum sulfate (1/4 ounce dissolved in a gallon of water) to heighten blueness in blue varieties.
