'FUN IN THE SUN'
Membership Lunch and Fashion Show
Set by Covenant B'nai B'rith Women
The Royal Hawaiian Restaurant, 1025 S. Los Angeles St., Anaheim, will be the scene of "Fun in the Sun" Fashion Show and Membership Luncheon hosted by Covenant B'nai B'rith Women, announced Mrs. Jack Fogel, president. The affair will take place on Monday, June 27, at 1 o'clock.
A most delightful fashion show will be presented by Florence Smales of Fashion Models, Inc.
All new members who pay their dues at the luncheon and all those who have joined since May, 1960, will be invited to attend free of charge, according to Mrs. Ralf Biester, third vice-president and membership chairman, and Mrs. Robert Fogel, co-chairmen of the affair.
All members are urged to bring their friends and any prospective members to this most gala afternoon. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy a delicious lunch and see a most entertaining show of
Pair Selected To Head Church Fund
Charles Organ and Bert Weldon will direct a community-wide campaign to raise $250,000 for expansion of St. Michael's Episcopal Church here.
Funds will finance a new 350-seat sanctuary, an administration wing, addition a guild room, and nine new classrooms.
Rev. John K. Saville, rector, said English-style village-type church now in use will be preserved as a chapel. Built in 1876, it is the oldest Episcopal building in use in the Southland.

Summery Music!
Summer School of Music, sponsored by the Anaheim Park and Recreation Department in conjunction with the combined Anaheim School Districts, began June 22 for a six-week session.
SERVING WITH Weldon on the building committee are Russell Ireland, Mrs. Foster Warwick, Max Doyle and Mason Henry.
Doyle heads the finance committee of Ernest Rose, Art Shipkey, Bill Currier and Organ. Publicity is being handled by Bud Lembke and Howard Loudon. Shipkey and Herb Perry are in charge of advance gifts.

A CONCERT BY THE Chapel Choir of Capital University, Columbus, Ohio, was given in Frmont Jr. High School Auditorium June 19. The choir has been hailed by Igor Stravinsky as "magnificent" and praised high by music critics of the press.
“SUGAR AND SPICE AND EVERYTHING NICE” was the theme of Anaheim Ebell Clubs Installation with Mrs. Robert Dale succeeding Mrs. Ernest D. Rohr as president.
On a stage set with early American antique pieces, Mrs. Pearson handed each new officer a gling ham apron and invited her to “stir things up” with a large wooden spoon each received with a pretty nosegay attached.

One Anaheim mother, Faye Robertson, has plenty of reasons to be thankful for vacation:
Mrs. Robertson, who completed her studies at Santa Ana college, is active in amateur productions, works full time as Knott's Berry Farm, is making a television film and is the mother of three children.
She also operates a dance studio here.

Plans Pack-In Trip
A pack-in trip into the High Sierras for Anaheim YMCA boys
of high school age will be held
Aug. 24-31, according to Bill Hoover.
Number is limited to the first
20 boys who register. Hoover has
set an August 17 deadline.
The trip will consist of hiking
trails into and across the Sierra
Nevada, fishing in the high mountain lakes and streams, catching
the fresh game, and frying them over an open fire, hiking to the mountain tops, camping under the stars high up in the clear air of the Sierras, and also making new friends and sharing the never-to-be forgotten experiences in the out-of-doors on a High Sierra pack trip.
Transportation will be by covered truck to the drop-off point. All food and equipment will be packed in by mules and all personal equipment will be packed in on the camper's back.

Santa Ana College Sets Fall Program
Fall semester classes at Santa Ana College will begin next Sept. 12 with registration available during August and early September.
Counseling appointments may be made by telephone for August, with early dates suggested because of the anticipated major increase in enrollment.
For those unable to complete registration during the late summer, two additional days have been scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 8-9. The admissions office will be closed Sept. 10.
An expanded extended day program of evening offerings will be provided, with 90 courses in comparison to the 66 given during the spring semester. Among new evening courses will be Physics IA, Education I and German.
A broad program in supervision, management and business will include evening college-credit classes in Psychology for Supervisors, Organization and Management, Labor-Management Relations, Small Business Management, courses in accounting, tax accounting; Psychology of Advertising and Selling, Introduction to Marketing, Business Law, Business Organization, Orientation (reading improvement), Introduction to Sociology, and Marriage and the Family.

Each person is required to take a medical examination before he goes on this pack trip. Every precaution will be taken to safeguard the health of all who participate in the trip.
Personal Articles
Equipment will consist of personal articles, a pack-frame, sturdy hiking shoes, cooking kit, fishing gear. A complete list of all needed equipment will be given at time of registration or on request.
The trip schedule calls for the group to leave the Anaheim Y about 6:30 a.m. August 24, and arrive at Florence Lake about 4:30 p.m. The trackers will hike eight miles to Plute Creek suspension bridge August 25 leaving the next day for another eight-mile stint to Colbb meadow in Evolution Valley, the base camp for the expedition.
August 27, 28 and 29 will be spent exploring, hiking, climbing, fishing, photography and just plain relaxing.
Return Trip
The group will hike from Evolution Valley back to Blaney Meadow August 30 for the last night on the trail.
On August 31 the local hikers will head back to Anaheim.
Hoover has scheduled an evening meeting at 7 p.m. at the Y., August 22 for last minute arrangements.

Local Actress-Dance Wins Television Role
Faye Robertson, the Anaheim actress-dancer who has found time to take college courses at Santa Ana College, is branching out again in the entertainment world, this time on television film.
Miss Robertson won a coveted role as the divorcee in a filmed program of "Divorce Court" which will be shown on KTTV, Channel 11, on July 7 at 9 p.m.
She sparkled for the SAC College Players during the past year, with a lead character role of Aunt Eller in "Green Grow the Lilacs" last fall and the leading feminine role of Mrs. Gillis in "The Man" this spring.
What makes her dramatic roles the more remarkable is that she works fulltime as an actress in the Birdcage Theater at Knott's Berry Farm and Ghost Town give-
