Gazette Carriers Are Neighborhood Businessmen Now
Fifty boys, working for the Anaheim Gazette, are now in business for themselves.
The youths, ranging in age from 10 to 18, are Gazette carriers. The boys' newspaper revives their own responsibility.
It's no small job, either: The boys make their own sales calls, handle their own collections, and keep their own books.
Go when the Gazette's newest business partner calls at your door March I give him your cooperation. Rates are $0 cents a month or $3.00 a year.

Showboat Restaurant Is Planned
Harbor Blvd. is being set out as the "La Cienaga Blvd." of Orange County — gastronomically speaking.
Plans are in the mill to develop a "showboat" re-staurant in front of the Candy Cane Motel at 17475 Harbor Blvd.
The project would cost about $125,000 and the architecture would emulate a two-deck river boat of the 19th century.
The seating capacity will be for 500 persons, 200 on the lower deck and 800 on the second deck.
The first leap year, Feb. 29, 50 B.C., resulted from Julius Caesar's decree in 46 B.C. that in every fourth year February should have 29 days instead of 28.

Supervisors to Study Transit Propositions
Orange County Supervisors have been given a detailed description of three rapid transit systems being considered to solve the Soil's growing public transportation problem.
Max Gillis, executive director of the Los Angeles Metropolitan Authority, told the supervisors months of study by the MTA narrowed the number of train system proposals from 45 to and from these only three emerged for serious consideration.
These are:
1. A monorail system which would handle 30,000 passengers per hour with cars scheduled at 90 second intervals.
2. The conventional two-rail system, but with modern light weight cars capable of fast speeds.
3. A suspended system which cars would be run on overhead rails.
Supervisors said they would give detailed study of the proposed and let the MTA know of their actions.
