With classrooms located in Anaheim and Fullerton and other Orange County cities, University of California Extension service will offer some 50 university level adult education courses, according to Frank Ford, extension service representative in Orange County.
Classes will cover economics, business administration, education, engineering, industrial relations, mathematics and nearly 70 other subjects.
Classes begin Feb. 8. Most classes meet from 7:90 p.m.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the undersigned, as Executive of the Estate of MATILDA LOUISE NEHRHOOD, deceased, will sell at private sale to the highest and best bidder upon the terms and conditions hereafter mentioned and subject to confirmation by said Superior Court on February 6, 1960, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock A.M., or thereafter within the time allowed by law, at the offices of Anderson and Kemby, Attorneys at Law, 548 South Kingsley Drive, Los Angeles 5, California, all right title, interest and estate of said MATILDA LOUISE NEHRHOOD, Deceased at the time of her death, and all right title and interest that said estate has acquired by operation of law or otherwise, other than or in addition to said MATILDA LOUISE NEHRHOOD at the time of her death in and to the county death.

LAWRENCE VESCERA, Defendant Upon reading and filing the affidavit of Mrs. John Foster and it satisfactorily appearing therefrom that the Defendant, Lawrence Vescera resides out of the State of California, to-wit; in New York State. The address of the defendant is unknown since he has not given his present whereabouts to his daughter who submitted the affidavit herein, or to his wife the plaintiff in this action. All attempts to reach him have failed and it also appearing from the verified complaint on file in this action that a cause of action exists in this action, in favor of the Plaintiff therein and against the said Defendant and that said Defendant hereinafore named necessary or proper party defendant thereto; and it further appearing that a Summons has been issued out of said Court in this action that personal service of the same cannot be made upon said Defendant hereinafore named for the reasons hereinafore contained, and by said affidavit made to appear;
It is ordered that the service of Summons in this action be made upon the Defendant hereinafore named by publication thereof, in The Anaheim Gazette, a newspaper published at Anaheim, California, hereby designated as the newspaper most likely to give notice to said defendant and that said publication be made once each calendar week for four weeks.
And it is further ordered and directed that a copy of the Summons and Complaint in this action be forthwith deposited in a United States Post Office, with the postage thereon fully prepaid, directed to said defendant at said place of residence. The said copy of Summons and complaint shall be deposited in the Post Office as addressed by Joseph F. Causee, who is hereby selected to perform that duty. He shall send envelopes with its contents enclosed, as registered matter.

DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS FOR TYPE I PIPE: Type I Pipe and Fittings shall conform with Federal Specifications SS-P381 dated September 14, 1955.
DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS FOR TYPE II PIPE: Type II Pipe and Fittings shall conform with A.W.W.A. C202-49 and A.W.W.A. C204-19 except as herein amended. A.W.W.A. C202-49 and A.W.W.A. C204-19 shall apply to all pipe sizes covered by these specifications.
The steel cylinder shall conform to A.W.W.A. C202-49 the minimum cylinder shall be 14 gauge. The cover coat protective coating lining shall conform to A.W.W.A. C204-19 content application of concrete linings and coatings may be by an approved mechanical method and blasting will not be required. The coating shall be reinforced with 11 gauge wire on a 1 inch pitch placed in the center of the coating. The minimum wall thickness of the outside concrete coating shall be 1 inch. The minimum thickness of the inside concrete linings shall be inch for less than 18 inches ID and inch for nines of 18 inches and greater diameters.
The entire pipe fabrication process including concrete lining and coating shall be accomplished by one manufacturer and in a continuous plant operation. The entire fabrication process shall be performed on one plant site. No portion of the fabrication shall be subcontracted.
The specifications shall be on the bell and spigot tape, and be prepared for mechanically mounted field joints using rubber gaskets. The bell and spigot end sections shall conform to A.W.W.A. Standards C300-57. Sec. 3.3 as may be amended as follows:
Pipe shall have the bell and spigot tape.
NOW THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS SECTION I.
That Article IX, Chapter 2 of the AnheIM Municipal Code "establishing zones in the City of AnheIM and regulating the use of land, height of buildings and yard spaces; adopting a man show boundaries of said zone; defining the terms used in said Article and Chapter; providing for amendment and enforcement thereof; prescribing penalties for violation and renewal all sections or sections in conflict therewith; be and the same is hereby amended by changing the boundaries of the zones set forth in said Article Chapter 2 by adopting a sectional Zoning Map or Ma-s showing such change or changes as follows:
That all of the area situated in the City of AnheIM, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows to wit:
That part of Lot 28 of AnheIM Extension, as shown on a man show surface made by William Hammer filed in the Recorder's Office of Los Angeles County, California described as:

ORDINANCE NO. 1434 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING ARTICLE
The entire pipe fabrication process including concrete lining and coating shall be accomplished by one manufacturer and in a continuous plant operation. The entire fabrication process shall be performed on one plant site. No portion of the fabrication shall be subcontracted.
The end sections shall be on the bell and spiket type, and be prepared for mechanically coupled field joints using rubber gaskets.
The bell and spigot end sections conform to A.W.W.A. Standards C300-57, Sec. 3.3 except as may be amended as follows:
Pipe shall have the bell and spigot formed integrally with the steel cylinder. The bell shall be approximately for a 44 inches deep and have a flared linocillate assembly. Bell thibsels shall be no less than 3/16 inches and shall be reinforced as necessary. The snigot shall have a specially rolled groove with double "shoulders" such that after field joining, the gasket will be completely enclosed on all sides and shall not depend on internal water pressure to aid the mask in making a water-tight joint.
The rubber gaskets shall conform to A.W.W.A. Standards C-200-57 Sec. 4.
The City Council of the City of Anaheim reserves the right to reject any and all bids and parts of bids and to accept bids in whole or in part as public convenience and necessity may require. Said bids shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, drawn upon a bank doing business in the State of California, or a bid bond for ten per cent (10%) of the amount of the bid, payable to the City of Anaheim, and the successful bidder or bidder will be recruited to furnish, within ten days after award of contract, a surety bond payable to the said City Council, in an amount not less than fifty per cent (50%) of the aggregate total amount of said contract which bond shall be conditioned upon the faithful performance of said contract.

The Mayor of the City of Anaheim approved and signed Ordinance on January 19th, 1960, establishing the City Planning Commission and requiring the City Clerk to hold public hearings on proposed changes in zoning laws.
Health and Welfare payments shall be made in accordance with the Southern California Master Labor Agreement.
All foremen unless separately classified shall be paid as provided in the September, 1953 revision of the A.G.C., B.C.A., H.B.L., E.G.C., A.A.F.L., C.I.O., Southern California Master Labor Agreement.
Apprentices may be employed in conformity with Section 177.5 of the California Labor Code.
The rates of per diem wages for each of the various classifications of work shall be the hereinbefore set forth prevailing rates of hourly wages multiplied by eight. Eight hours shall constitute a day's work, it being understated that in the event that workers are employed less than eight hours per day the per diem wage shall be that fraction of the per diem wage herein established that the number of hours of employment bears to eight hours.
The overtime rule establishing the rates of overtime an holiday work shall be in accordance with the following: Where a single shift is worked, eight hours of continuous employment except for lunch periods, shall constitute a day's work beginning on Monday and continuing through Friday each week. Where work is required in excess of eight hours any one day or during the interval of time from 5:00 o'clock to 8:00 p.m. Friday, such work shall be paid for at the minimum rate of one and one-half times the basic rate of wages, and on Sundays and holidays such work shall be paid for at the minimum rate of double the basic rate of wages, except as otherwise reserved in the September, 1959 resolution of the A.G.C., B.C.A., H.B.L., E.G.C., A.A.F.L., C.I.O., Southern California Master Labor Agreement.
Holidays as herein referred to shall be deemed to be New Year's Day, Decoration Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If any of the above mentioned holidays other than Labor Day and Thanksgiving Day falls on Sunday, the following Monday shall be considered a legal holiday.
It shall be mandatory upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded and upon any subcontractor under him to pay not less than the specified rates of wages to all laborers, workmen and mechanics employed by them in the execution of the contract.
Each bid shall be made out on a form to be obtained at the office of the City Clerk or City Engineer of the City of Anaheim and shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond for ten (10) percent of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City of Anaheim, and shall be sealed and delivered to the City Clerk at the City Hall of the City c.' Anaheim before 2:00 o'clock P.M. on the 19th day of February, 1960, at which time sealed in WITNESS WHEREOF. I have received approval and signed Ordinance on January 19th, 1960.
City of Anaheim in the proposed C-7, Business and Professional Office Zones; shall limit all buildings erected on the property to one story in height; and shall require the following:
(a) A 10-foot minimum setback from the required 6-foot rear wall for landscaping and the planting of trees to act as a sound barrier;
(b) That there be a 25-foot minimum rear yard building set back;
(c) That area lighting be maintained below the height on the 6-foot rear wall which is required at the rear of the property.
SECTION 2.
The City Zoning Map shall be, and the same is hereby amended, and the property above described shall be excluded from the zone in which it is now situated, and incorporated in and made a part of the zone or zones as above set forth, and said City Zoning Map as amended is hereby adopted by the Engineer; hereby directed to promote a secalon map to be added to the City Zoning Map and inserted in the Anaheim Municipal Code showing the changes hereby approved and adopted.
SECTION 3.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Gazette, a newspaper published and circulated in said City and thirty-two (32) days from and after its final passage. It shall take effect and be in full force.

Hourly Successful bidder and any subcontractor and contractors employed by him in the performance of said work or any part of the work of said public improvement required by law only such manufactures materials and supplies as have been manufactured in the United States substantially all from articles, materials and supplies mined produced or manufactured, as the case may be, in the United States pursuant to the provisions of Sections 139 and 423I of the Government Code of the State of California.
Pursuant to the provisions of Sections 139 and 423I of the Government Code of the State of California, price, fitness and quality being successful bidder and any subcontractors or contractors employed by him to do any part of the work on the above described public improvement shall be required to prefer supplies grown at the State of California and next to prefer supplies partly grown manufactured or produced in the State of California.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a Non-collusion Affidavit, copies of which may be obtained from the City Clerk.
The successful bidder or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the City Attorney on the manner and form approved by the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informality to the extent permitted by law, and reserves the further right to make an award to the lowest responsible bidder found and determined to serve the best interests of the City of Anaheim.
