The Woman's World. EDITED BY YSABEL CARDEN SECTION B—PAGE 1 Don Arnett Speaks at Palm Lane Meeting Don Arnett of the Anaheim Board of Parks and Recreation was guest speaker at the meeting of the Palm Lane Parent-Teacher association recently. He spoke on the program of volunteer recreation leaders which the board hopes to put into effect within the year. Arnett, in his informative talk, stressed that volunteer recreation leaders could be the answer to our exploding population growth in the Anaheim area. By 1970 we could possibly have a population of 260,000 and this in turn would make recreation costs quite high. Costs could be reduced by using volunteer leaders. Arnett asked for a committee to be formed of three volunteers to attend a meeting sometime in February to further discuss the program. Mrs. William Orth, recreation chairman will head the committee from Palm Lane. MRS. WILLIAM HERRON, who presided, announced that there would be no Palm Lane association meeting this month; instead an Anaheim unified PTA meeting will be held Feb.
