AMENDING ARTICLE CHAPTER 2, PART 2 OF THE AHAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE, REPEALING SECTION 4231 HEREOF, AND BY ADDING NEW SECTIONS THERETO, TO NUMBERED 4230.1, 4230.2, 4230.3, 4230.4, 4230.5, 4230.6, 4230.7, 4231.1 AND 4231.1.1. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS. SECTION 1. That Article IV, Chapter 2, Part 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, the same is hereby amended by adding new sections thereto, numbered 4230.1, 4230.2, 4230.3, 4230.4, 4230.5, 4230.6, 4230.7, 4230.8, 4231 and reading as follows: SECTION 1. That Article IV, Chapter 2, Part 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, the same is hereby amended. SECTION 2. At woman shall offer her body to the purpose of prostitution oricit any man to have intercourse with her for money or other concession, or agree to have carnal encounter with any man for money or other consideration, or agree to perform or parapate in any lewd act for money other consideration." At person shall resort to any building or to any room used or connected with, or order the same management as cafe, restaurant, soft drink parlor establishment or similar business, or to any public park or any of the buildings therein or any vacant lot, or any room, dining house, lodging house, apartment house, hotel street or walk for the purpose of having sexual intercourse with a person to him or she is not married, or the purpose of performing or participating in any lewd act with such person. SECTION 2.2. That Article IV, Chapter 2, Part 6 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, the same is hereby amended by adding new sections thereto, to be numbered 4230.2, 4230.1, 4230.2, 4230.3, 4230.4, 4230.5, 4230.6, 4230.7, 4231 and reading as follows: SECTION 2.1. That Article IV, Chapter 2, Part 6 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, the same is hereby amended by adding new sections thereto, to be numbered 4230.2, 4230.1, 4230.2, 4230.3, 4230.4, 4230.5, 4230.6, 4230.7, 4231 and reading as follows: SECTION 2.1. No person engaged in conducting or carrying on a betting pool or for the purpose of conducting the business of making book or selling pools on races or other contests, or for betting or laying wagers upon the result of any race or content. No person shall transmit any message over any telephone or telegraph line or wire knowing that such message is to be used in connection with conducting or carrying on a betting pool or making book or selling pools on races or other contests; or for betting or laying wagers upon the result of any race or content. SECTION 2.1. No person engaged in conducting or carrying on a betting pool or in conducting the business of making book or selling pools or races, or betting or laying wagers upon the results of any race or contest; shall have in his possession any written or printed form chart table list sheet circular or publication of any kind giving or purporting to give any list of entries for any horse race or other contest thereafter anywhere to take place if there be written or printed information prediction or selection of or advice to it; or any key cipher; or cryptogram indicating containing or giving any tip information publication or selection of or advice to it; the winner or probable winner; or a loser or probable loser; or the result or probable result of any such race or other context; the standing or probable standing of any horse or contest therein; or statement as to; the form condition of standing of any horse or other contest; or the actual probable or possible result of any race or contest; or the actual probable possible state past present future of the betting wagering code upon against any horse or other contest named in such list; or probable possible list; entries unless the nature of such horses or other contest shall be arranged in such list; or probable possible list; in alphabetical order; and shall all be printed in type of the same size and face and of identical appearance; and shall all be printed flush with the left side of the column in which the same are printed; or all an equal distance therefrom. SECTION 2.1. No person shall have in his possession any book power apparatus device or paraphernalia for the purpose of recording or registering any bet or any purported wager upon the result, or purported result of any trial, or purported trial, or contest or purported contest of skill speed power endurance of man or beast, or be No person shall resort to any house, room, building structure or place not mentioned in Section 4230.3 of this Code, for the purpose of having sexual intercourse with a person to whom he or she is not married, or for the purpose of performing or participating in any lewd act with any person for money or other purposes. high high high high high high high high No person shall knowingly visit, resort to, or be in any office house, room, apartment, or any other place where prostitution being committed, conducted, or performed where any acts offence to public decency are being conducted, engaged in or permitted. SECTION 4231. INDECENT SHOWS. (a) No person, either as owner, manager, producer, director, actor, agent, or who acts in any other capacity, shall give direct, present or participate in any obscene, incestual, immoral, or impure drama, any exhibition, show or entertainment of any obscene, incestual, immoral, or impure drama, incidental part or portion of any drama, play, exhibition, show or entertainment which tends to corrupt the morals of youth or others which deplicts or deals with the subject or theme of sex degeneracy sex perversion, or sex inversion. (b) No person shall exhibit or perform, or participate in the possession of any obscene, incestual, immoral, or impure drama, incidental part or portion of any drama, play, exhibition, show or entertainment which tends to corrupt the morals of youth or others which deplicts or deals with the subject or theme of sex degeneracy sex perversion, or sex inversion. (c) WRITINGS, PICTURES, FIGURES, ETC. No person shall write, compose, serotype, print, or publish any obscene or indecent writing, paper book; or sell, distribute, keep or sale, exhibit any obscene or indecent writing, paper book; design, picture or figure; or design, copy, draw, engrave, paint or otherwise prepare any obscene or indecent picture or print; or otherwise make any obscene or indecent figure. (d) SEIZURE OF OBSCENE MATTER. Any person authorized or enlisted to arrest any persons for the violation of Subsections (a) or (b) this section is equally authorized and enjoined to seize any motion picture, film, design, picture or figure the exhibition and display which is by this section prohibited. In the possession or underest control of the person arrested and delivered to the registrar before whom the person arrested is required to be taken. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall use the same to be published once within fifteen (15) days after its option in the Anaheim Gazette, a SECTION 4232. DRAW POKER. It is unlawful for any person to receive directly or indirectly anything of value from the playing or operation of a game of draw poker or any variation thereof, other than the actual winnings to which a person playing such game in good faith for himself alone may be entitled as a result of such game. SECTION 4232.4. SAME. It is unlawful for any person to give anything of value for being permitted to participate in a game of draw poker or any variation thereof, other than to pay the actual losses sustained by such person playing such game in good faith for himself alone. SECTION 4232.5. SAME. It is unlawful for any person to bet or wager anything of value belonging to another person in a game of draw poker or any variation thereof. SECTION 4232.6. SAME. It is unlawful for any person either as owner, lessee, agent, employee, mortgagor, or otherwise knowingingly permit any room building, premises or any furniture, devices or other items used to be used for or in any game of draw poker or any variation thereof. In connection with a violation of Sections 4232.3, 4232.4 or 4232.5 occurs. SECTION 4232.7. SAME. In addition to any other remedy provided by law, any furniture, fixtures equipment or article, anything of value used in violation of Section 4232.5 here may be seized by any of the officers designated by Sections 323 and 323a of the Penal Code of the State of California, and in such cases shall be disposed of as provided in said Section 323a of said Penal Code; provided however that the phrase 'machine or device' as used in said Section 323a of the Penal Code shall mean any furniture, fixtures equipment or article, anything of value except money coin, currency. Any all money coin currently issued in violation of Section 4232.6 and seized pursuant to this section shall be deposited in the General Fund of the City. SECTION 4232.8. GAMBLING. FREQUENTING PREMISES. No person shall visit, frequent, or be present at or within any house, room, apartment or place used in whole or in part as a place where any game或device is played operated conducted dealt carried on with cardd dice billard balls pool balls other devices for money checks chips credit for any other representative of value或for any merchandise or any other thing of value prohibited by Sections 320或32a of the Penal Code of the State of California. SECTION 4232.9. BOOKMAKING. USE OF TELEPHONE FOR. No person shall let或lease any telegraph或telephone line或wire knowing that it is to be used for SECTION 4234.1. SAME. No person in control of any hotel inn,apartment house,rooming house或 lodging house,或the letting of any suite,room或bed in any thereof to any person或 persons in the City shall let或assign any suite,room或bed in any thereof to any person until after such person shall have registered his name and address in the register health provided to be kept and thereafter such register shall be made to show correctly the year,month,day和 hour of the arrival of such person threaten and the number of the suite或room let或assigned to such guest;and such person in control of such inn,hotel,apartment house,rooming house或 lodging house,或the letting of any suite,room或bed in any thereof shall at the time.of the departure of each guest,endorse upon such register the date of such departure! nor must any person erase 或 alter any name或 address written in such register. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption,在the Anaheim Gazette,a newspaper of general circulation,printed,published and circulated in said City,and thirty(30)days from and after its final passage it shall take effect and be billed for.
