Babe Didrickson Golf Tournament Tickets on Sale
It was announced today by Mrs. Dallas Dornan of Fullerton, chairman of the Orange County Babe Didrickson Zaharias Memorial Golf Tournament, being played Oct. 16 through 25 for the benefit of the American Cancer Society, that tickets, rules and information are now available to golfers at local country and golf clubs.
Mrs. Dornan said that the two-dollar entry tickets will qualify contestants for the tournament and admit them to the gallery for any one of the four regional exhibition matches at San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and San Diego.
Orange County entrants will play against the scores of professionals of the San Diego exhibition match to be held at the San Diego Mission Valley Country Club, starting at 11 a.m., Oct. 25.
All proceeds from the annual golf tournament will go to the American Cancer Society in furthering the society's research and educational goals.
Those clubs participating are Huntington Beach Country Club, Bob Marshall, chairman; Irvine Coast Country Club, Art and Bob Roux, co-chairmen; Los Coyotes Country Club, Ben King, chairman; Mesa Verde Country Club, John Plumbley, chairman; Santa Ana Country Club, Lewis Clem, chairman; Willowick Men's Club, Santa Ana, Howard Lee, chairman;

Mrs. Harry Huffman, Balboa, co-chairman of the county event, stated that the tournament has the approval and backing of the Northern and Southern California Golf Associations and the Northern and Southern California sections of the Professional Golfers Assn. of America.

Thomas has won acclaim in the Pablo Casals Festival at Prades, France, and in numerous appearances throughout Europe and this country. He gave a concert to open the Friends of Music Series at UCLA Oct. 4, winning lavish praise from the critics.
With Frieda Belinfante conducting, Thomas appears as soloist for the Berlioz "Harold in Italy," and Adrian Holland plays the solos in "The Country Gentleman" by Strauss. The program opens with the Overture to "Phedre" by Massenet.
Tickets for the concert are available at the Orange Coast College Philharmonic office, KI 5-9280.
School Tennis Lessons Start
Anaheim school children, sixth to twelfth grades, can develop their tennis under the Recreation Department's program of instruction each Saturday at City Park.
Bill Otta, former net star at Fullerton Junior College, is instructor, operating from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., stressing serve, return, backhand, volley and care of equipment. No charge—just take your rackets and go to the park.

National churches will feature their young people in special services.
"Youth Sings," sponsored by the society of Orange County, will combine their monthly rallys
Into one large sing at Parkview Reformed Church. This church, located at 918 Glenwood Pl., Santa Ana, will feature many interesting events, among which will be the leading of devotions by the Rev. Stanley P. Allen of the Irvine Community Church.
His program will include a representative from each church in attendance who will give a short testimony. In addition, there will be two clips given to the two churches having the largest attendance.
