Obituaries
ALFRED H. HEYING
Funeral services for Alfred H. Heying, 71, of 626 S. Palm St., who died at his home Friday afternoon after a prolonged illness, were held Tuesday at St. Boniface Church following the recital of the Rosary the night before in the chapel of Backs-Troutman and Kaulbars Mortuary. Burial was in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. He was a native of Missouri and had lived in the Anaheim and Corona area since 1902. He was well-known in Corona as a businessman, having operated a drug store there from 1933 until 1935 when he returned to make his home in Anaheim. He was a graduate of the University of California in 1909. He was a member of St. Boniface Church and a charter member of the Anaheim Elks Club, and a member of the Southern California Pharmacy Association. Surviving are his wife, Joanne S. Heying, of Anaheim; a daughter, Mrs. Wilma Clifford of Salinas; a son, Major Arnold H. Heying of Los Angeles; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services for Otto Martin Geissler, 75 of 14246 Anaheim-Olive Rd., who died Thursday after a brief illness, were held at Zion Lutheran Church
Anaheim Man Elected to Head Cancer Society
Another Anaheim man has been elected to head the Orange County Branch of the American Cancer Society.
Howard Loudon, retiring president who led the annual meeting, pointed out that the years of effore devoted by volunteers to the fight against cancer is showing results in that one out of every three cancer victims is now being saved.
He said, "Every seven minutes another cancer victim is saved from death by early diagnosis and prompt treatment."
Highlight of the evening was the election of the 1959-60 executive committee and the appointment of the board of directors.
Named to the executive committee were W. J. Griffith, Anaheim, president; Dr. James A. Potter, Santa Ana, first vice-president in charge of education; Mrs. Marie B. Timmons, Santa Ana, second vice-president in charge of service; Dr. Bernard M. Davis, third vice-president, assistant for service; Anaheim; Clifford L. Benson, Santa Ana, secretary; J. Craig Mackerras, San Francisco Treasurer.
OTTO MARTIN GEISSLER
Funeral services for Otto Martin Geissler, 75 of 14246 Anaheim-Olive Rd., who died Thursday after a brief illness, were held at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. E. W. Matthias officiating. Backs - Troutman and Kaulbars Mortuary were in charge. He was a native of Kansas, he had lived in Anaheim since 1930 and had been an active citrus rancher until his death. Surviving are his wife, Katherine; two daughers, Mrs. Myrtle H. Jones of Anaheim and Mildred C. Brandt of Santa Cruz; a son, Martin of Anaheim; two brothers, William and Ed Geissler of Kansas; and a sister, Emelia Geissler of Kansas; and nine grandchildren.
CARRIE M. QUIST
Funeral services and burial for Carrie M. Quist, 76, of 307 N. Rose St., who died Thursday afternoon at Parkview Convalescent Hospital, are being held in Salt Lake City. Backs-Troutman and Kaulbars are in charge of arrangements. A native of Salt Lake City, she had lived in California for 9 years the last two in Anaheim. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mima Gralo of Anaheim, Mrs. Sadie Rock of Santa Monica; a brother, Neohi Neilson of Salt Lake City; and a niece, Mrs. Winifred Graham of Anaheim.
Funeral services for Guadalune F. Rodarte, 59, of 7211 De Pio Pico St., who died at her home after a long illness, were held in the chapel of Backs-Troutman and Kaulbars and at St. Anthony Claret Church. Burial was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. She was born in Mexico and had lived in the United States for 40 years, making her home in Placentia. She was a member of St. Anthony Claret Church and a member of the Carmellite Society. She is survived by two sons named to the executive committee were W. J. Griffith, Anaheim president; Dr. James A. Potter, Santa Ana, first vice-president in charge of education; Mrs. Marie B. Timmons, Santa Ana, second vice-president in charge of service; Dr. Bernard M. Davis, third vice-president, assistant for service, Anaheim; Clifford L. Benson, Santa Ana, secretary; J. Craig Mackerras, San Clemente, treasurer; Howard Loudon, Anaheim, immediate past president; Dr. Dexter T. Ball, Santa Ana, district medical delegate; Mrs. Floyd E. Whitehill, Garden Grove, assistant for education; Mrs. Raymond Peterson, Santa Ana, personnel; Mrs. Richard Stanford, Orange, public information.

Local Girl With 'Annel Fliaht'
Miss Nancy Macelsaac, University of California senior, has been chosen as a member of Angel Flight, a group which assists Berkeley campus Air Force ROTC cadets as hostesses at their social functions. Nancy will greet visiting dignitaries and participate in important drill ceremonies.
Chosen from a field of 80 coeds, Miss Marielsaac will serve with 21 officers.

She is survived by two sons, Peter Rodarte of Placenta and Felix Rodarte of Montebello; three daughters, Mrs. Magdalina Retana of Los Angeles, Mrs. Emma Chavez of Anaheim and Mrs. Eugenia Verillo of Placentia.
JOHANNES OJASILD
Funeral services for Johannes Ojasild, 55, of 8852 Alladdin Dr., who died suddenly at his home Sunday, were held in the chapel of Backs-Troutman and Kaulbars with the Rev. E. W. Mattias officiating. Burial was in Melrose Abbey Cemetery. Born in Estonia and a resident of Anaheim for six years, he was employed by the Electra Motors as a tool and die maker. Survivors include his wife, Helmi, of Anaheim; a daughter, Mrs. Viivi Roomussaar of Anaheim; a son, Enn Ojasild in the Air Force in Waco, Tex.; and his mother, Mrs. Anna Ojasild and two sisters, all of Estonia.
CLYDE HOMER BYERLY
Funeral services for Clyde Homer Byerly, 80, of 2627 E. La Palms, who died Sunday after a brief illness, were held in Hammond, Ill., with burial there also. Backs-Troutman and Kaulbars were in charge of arrangements here. A natice of Pennsylvania, he was, before his retirement, with the Standard Oil Co. of New Jersey. Surviving are his Miss Nancy Macelsaac, University of California senior, has been chosen as a member of Angel Flight, a group which assists Berkeley campus Air Force ROTC cadets as hostesses at their social functions. Nancy will greet visiting dignitaries and participate in important drill ceremonies.
Chosen from a field of 80 coeds, Miss Marelsaac will serve with 21 other members of the Flight. The members of Arnold Air Society, the Air Force's ROTC honor society, chose the girls on the basis of poise, activities, and grades.
A political science major at the University, Nancy would like to work for the State Department in the future.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. K. Marcelsaac, 1745 Francis Drive, Anaheim.

JOHN R. FEEHERY
Funeral services for John R. Feehery, 27, of 911 W. Blue Jay Cir., who died Saturday morning at Anaheim Memorial Hospital after an automobile accident, are being held in Chicago with burial there also. Backs-Troutman and Kaulbars are in charge. A native of Illinois, he had been in Anaheim five months and worked as a salesman for the Great Northern Paper Mills Company. Survivors include his wife, Yvonne; a daughter, Kathleen and a son, John; two sisters, Loretta and Sally Feehery of Chicago; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Feehery of Chicago.
