1ST CAV. DIV., KOREA
(FHTNC — Army Specialist Four Charles E. Peterson, son of Mrs. Helanie A. Peterson, 1004 Mayflower St., Anaheim, is a member of the 1st Cavalry Division, the only U.S. division presently manning a front line against an armed and ready agressor in Korea.
Specialist Peterson, a cook in Battery C of the division's 20th Artillery, entered the Army in January 1958 and received basic training at Fort Ord, Calif. He arrived in the Far East in July 1958.
The 27-year-old soldier was employed by the Baytex Steel Corp., Houston, Tex., before entering the Army.
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.
(FHTNC) — Jon M. Schoenfeld, electronics technician seaman apprentice, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis W. Schoenfeld of 533 South East St., Anaheim, scheduled to graduate Aug. 27 from the Navy's basic Electronics Technician School at the Treasure Island Naval Station, San Francisco, Calif.
Graduates of the school are qualified in the repair and maintenance of electronic equipment aboard Navy ships.

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (FHTNC)—Marine Pvt. Gerry A. Dahl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles G. Dahl of 620 N. East St., Anaheim, was scheduled to finish four weeks of individual combat training Aug. 14 at the Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
The course includes the latest infantry tactics, first aid, demolitions, field fortifications and advanced schooling on weapons.
Trainees learn that all Marines are basically infantrymen, whether they serve as cooks, typists, truck drivers, or with aviation units.
FORT CAMPBELL, KY. (AHTNC)—Army Sgt. James C. Lawley, son of Mrs. Pearl Lawlye, 10501 Katella Ave., Anaheim, graduated Aug. 1 from the 101st Airborne Division Non-Commissioned Officer Academy at Fort Campbell, Ky.
Sergeant Lawley received four weeks of refresher training in combat intelligence, terrain an alysis, map reading, and leadership.
The sergeant regularly assigned as a squad leader in Company D of the division's 187th Infantry at the fort, entered the Army in 1946.
He attended Richmond (Calif.) Union High School. His father, Charles Lawley, lives at 1301 E. Admiral Ave., Tulsa, Okla.
GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (AHTNC)—Army Pvt. James S. McNamara, 23, whose wife, Bobbye, lives at 115 N. East St., Anaheim, recently was assigned to the 57th Artillery in Garden Grove, Callif.
A dog handler in the 57th Artillery's Battery A, he entered the Army last January and completed basic training at Ford Ord, Calif.
McNamara, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis M. McNamara, 2700 Century Dr., Bakersfield, is a 1954 graduate of East Bakersfield High School and attended

McNamara, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis M. McNamara, 2700 Century Dr., Bakersfield, is a 1954 graduate of East Bakersfield High School and attended Bakersfield College. Before entering the Army, he was employed by the Bank of America, Bakersfield.
ZWEIBRUCKEN, GERMANY (AHTNC)—Army Pvt. Pat Iudicella, 18, son of Mrs. Joseph Guidas, 8822 Regal Ave., Anaheim, recently returned to his home unit in Germany with the 40th Artillery at the Orogrande Range in New Mexico.
Iudicella was a member of a team from the artillery's 2d Missile Battalion, which became the first tactical unit in the Army to fire the newest-type Corporal guided missile. The team could not fire the missile in Germany due to space limitations.
He is a missile launching crewman in the battalion's Firing Battery in Zwelbrucken. Iudicella entered the Army in October 1958, completed basic training at Fort Ord, Calif., and arrived in Europe last March.
SCHWALICH, GERMANY (AHTNC)—Army Pvt. Richard W. De Coledt, 23, whose wife, Patrica, and parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. George De Coledt, live at 1518 Holgate Pl., Anaheim, recently arrived in Germany and is now a member of 17th Artilley.
