LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSals FOR FURNISHING ALL PLANT, LABOR SERVICES, MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT AND PERFORMING ALL WORK NECESSARY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION AND COMPLETION WITHIN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM OF THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT OR WORK: THE IMPROVEMENT OF BALL ROAD, FROM STANTON AVENUE TO 1,000 FEET WEST OF STANTON AVENUE. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE in the office of the City Clerk or City Engineer of the City of Anaheim, the following public improvement, to wit:
The Improvement of Ball Road, from Stanton Avenue to 2,000 feet West of Stanton Avenue, by excavation, construction of 2, 3 and 4-inch plant-mix surfacing, including panel blocks of untreated rock base, adjustment of existing rock holes to grade and appurtenant work indicated on the plans. Project No. 69. and shall be tabulated by the City Engineer and the result thereof reported to the City Council at its next regular or adjourned regular meeting, for action thereon by said City Council.
PURSUANT to the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has ascertained the general prevailing rate of wages in the locality in which this type of work is to be performed for each type of workman needed to execute this contract. The hourly wage scale so ascertained is as follows:

the name and address of the bidder Ave., Project No. 69," together with The above mentioned check or bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract, if awarded to him, and will be declared forfeited if the successful bidder refuses to enter into said contract after being requested to do so by the City of Anaheim. Such contract shall have entered into fifteen (15) days after receipt by said contractor of notice of the awarding of the contract, unless such time is extended by the City of Anaheim.
Each bid must specify the name and location of the mill, shop or office of each sub-contractor who will perform work or labor or render services to the contractor in or about the construction of the work package which will be done by each subcontractor. If any bid submitted fails to specify a subcontractor as aforesaid, the contractor submitting such bid agrees to perform the work himself.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a faithful performance bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price and an amount equal to 100% of the contract price, said bonds to be secured from a surety or bonding company satisfactory to the City Council of the City of Anaheim and shall be approved by the City Attorney as to form and sufficiency before acceptance.
Plans and specifications may be obtained from the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim at the City Hall, Anaheim, California for the sum of Five Dollars ($5.00) if picked up at said offices, or the sum of Six Dollars ($6.00) if forwarded by mail.
The successful bidder will be required to continuously maintain adequate protection of all his work and adjacent property from damage or the performance of the contract and to furnish the City with public liability insurance in an amount not less than $100,000.00 for injuries including accidental death of any one person,$200,000.00 on account of any one accident, and property damage insurance in an amount not less than $50,000.00 and public liability insurance in an amount not less than $50,000.00 for any one accident, and property damage in an amount not less than $16,000.00. Compensation and employer's liability insurance shall be maintained during the life of the contract covering all employees on the project. The contractor shall be responsible for all supply required by such insurance. Such insurance shall be furnished by companies satisfactory to the City and subject to the approval of the City Attorney as to form and sufficiency.
The successful bidder and any subcontractor and contractors employed by him in the performance of sale work or any part of the work sold agrees to perform the work himself.

The rates per diem wages for each of the various classifications of work shall be paid before the apprentices set forth prevailing rates of hourly wages multiplied by eight. Eight hours shall constitute a day's work, it being understood that in the event that workers are employed less than eight hours per day the per diem wage shall be that fraction of the per diem wage hereinafter established that the number of hours of employment bears to eight hours of overtime rule establishing the rates of overtime and holiday work shall be in accordance with the following: Where a single shift is worked, eight hours of continuous employment, except for lunch periods, shall constitute a day's work beginning on holiday and continuing thereafter.

The overtime rule establishing the rates of overtime and holiday work shall be in accordance with the following: Where a single shift is worked, eight hours of continuous employment, except for lunch period, shall constitute a day's work beginning through Friday each week. Where work is required in excess of eight hours in any one day or during the interval of time from 8:00 o'clock P.M. Friday and 12:00 o'clock midnight Saturday, such work shall be paid for at the minimum rate of one and one-half times the basic rate of and on Sundays and holidays such work shall be paid for at the minimum rate of double the basic rate of wages, except as otherwise provided in the May, 1958 revision of the A.G.C., B.C.A., H.B.I., E.G.C.A., A.F.L.-C.I.O., Southern California Master Labor Agreement.
Holidays as herein referred to shall be deemed to be New Year's Day, Decoration Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. If any of the above mentioned holidays other than Labor Day and Thanksgiving Day falls on Sunday, the following Monday shall be considered a legal holiday.
It shall be mandatory upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded and upon any subcontractor under him to pay not less than the said specified rates for the workers employed and mechanics employed by them in the execution of the contract.
Each bid shall be made out on a form to be obtained at the office of the City Clerk or the City Engineer of the City of Anaheim and shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond for ten percent of the amount of the bid made payable to the City of Anaheim and shall be sealed and delivered to the City Clerk at the City Hall of the City of Anaheim before 2:00 o'clock P.M. on the 24th day of September, at which time sealed proposals will be opened in public by the City Clerk and the City Engineer. Sealed proposals shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and marbled with the upper left hand side sealed proposals for construction of the improvement Ball Road, from Stanton Ave. to 2,000 West of Stanton.

THE Daily News of Garden Grove, Calif., and directing that said publication be completed at least twenty (20) days prior to the date of hearing hereinabove mentioned; and further directing the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim written notice of such proposed annexation to each land within the territory proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last equalized county assessment roll available on the date proceedings were initiated; at the address shown on said assessment roll or as known to said City Clerk; and to any person who has indicated name and address which he has an interest in either legal or equitable, with said City Clerk; and that in the event land within the territory proposed to be annexed to the City Anaheim is owned by a County, that the City Clerk shall cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such county, and if such notice not less than two (20) days before the first public hearing on the proposed annexation.
That on the hour, day and at the place specified in said Resolution No. 3563 to wit on the 25th day of August, 1959, at the hour of 7:00 o'clock in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, California, the City Council did meet assembly and held all protests filed up to the hour of 7:00 o'clock in the City Council did find that Resolution fixing the time and place of said hearing was published by the City Clerk as therein directed; and that written notice of such proposed annexation was mailed to each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed according to the last equalized assessment row of the County of Orange, State of California, for private owners equal to one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by the City Council.

It from the effect of this Ordinance and the filing certified copy thereof with the Secretary of the State of California, the annexation of the terrace herein described shall be complete and thence such annexed territory shall be all intents and purposes, a part of the City of Anaheim, and after the effective date of an amendment all property therein be subject to taxation equally the property within the City of Anaheim shall be taxed to pay proportionate share of the existing ownership and liability of said City Anaheim contracted prior to or at the time of such annexation pursuant to the written consent of the owners of property in said City Anaheim filed with the Clerk City of Anaheim prior to the motion of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3
The City Clerk shall certify to the Judge of this Ordinance and cause it to be published once in Anaheim Gazette, a newspaper circulated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, after its final passage it shall be full force and effect.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDMENT NO. 1958 ORDINANCE NO. 1958 RELATING TO A CHANGE OF ZONE IN A CERTAIN AREA OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did on July 9, 1957 adopt Ordinance No. 1157 in Reclassification Proceedings No. P-66-57-42 changing the property therein described from R-A. NORTHEAST AUSTRALIAN ARCUTICAL ZONE to C-O NEighborhood - COMMERCIAL ZONE subject to the conditions set forth in said ordinance; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Condition No. 1 of said ordinance should be amended;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDINANCE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1
That Condition No. 1 of Ordinance No. 1157 in Reclassification Proceedings No. P-66-57-42 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:

OF ANAHEIM AMENDING ARTICLE VII, CHAPTER 4, SECTION 7400.18 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO PUBLIC UTILITIES AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.
Chat Article VII, Chapter 4, Section 7400.18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is here amended, to read as follows:
SECTION 7400.18 REQUESTS FOR DISCONNECTION OF SERVICE.
Should any owner, lessee or occupant be desirous of having the service of electricity or water disconnected from his premises, he shall so notify the accounting officer who shall immediately use the electric or water meter to be read and sealed off or removed, and the service to be disconnected from the premises. The accounting officer shall then render the notice to the Finance Director o the form prescribed by the Finance Director. The Finance Director shall not hour any said claim against the City after said one-year period, unless ordered to do so, a court of competence in jurisdiction.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall use the same code published once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Gazette, a statement of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage it should effect and be in full force.
