ON YOUR MARK— Anaheim Campers get set for a dive in the pool in na swim meet during a recent girls' period at Y Camp Osceola in Barton Flats area in the San Bernardino Mountains. A full attendance is registered to attend the August camp perfor- tor girls from 8 to 15, according to Nan Moore, YMCA Girls' work secretary. Busse transport the campers from the Anaheim YMCA, a United Fund agency.

Theatre Guild Gets Set for New Season
Five communities in Orange County are represented on the board of directors of the Anaheim Theatre Guild for the 1959-60 season.
Arthur Myers of Stanton is the newly president of the theatre group, and Jack Arnold of Garden Grove is 1st vice-president.
The other members of the board of directors are Pat Harlacher, Anaheim; Arch Sullard, Orange; Mrs. Nancy Sullard, Orange; Vern Douglass, Buena Park; Paul Sanford Anaheim; John McCarty, Orange; and Edward Brown, Anaheim.
The Anaheim Theatre Guild is a non-profit organization striving to bring the best in stage entertainment to all residents of Orange County.
The Guild membership is presently selecting four shows for production during the coming season. The selection of plays, directors, reading dates, and the place of production will be announced within the next month.
Anyone interested in any phase of theatre work with the Guild may obtain details by calling Pat Harlacher LE 9-0875.
Expanded Arts Class To Be Offered Here
Lester Reid of Anaheim, liaison chairman for the North Orange County area, has announced arrangements made with the UCLA Liberal Arts Department for an expanded program of adult evening discussion groups for this

Miss Barbara Howe of La Habra served as maid of honor and bridesmaids were the Misses Marsha Howe and Nancy Lassiter, also of La Habra. All the attendants wore identical gowns of pale blue with white accessories and carried bouquets of carnations.
Gary Schilling of Anaheim was chosen to serve as best man, while Ray McGinnis of Anaheim and Kenny Mon of Brea escorted the guests to their places.
Mrs. Merry Sanders was soloist and sang "Always" and "The Lord's Prayer."
Approximately 90 persons gathered in the church social hall following the ceremony to congratulate the bridal pair. Miss Juanita Murphy circulated the guest book among the guests.
HOSTESSES
Reception hostesses were the Misses Marilyn Middleton, Sharon Staples, Margie Mon, Linda Hopkins, and the Mimes, Earl Field, M. Perry, M. Johnson and A. Drake.
Later, the young couple left for a honeymoon trip to Santa Barbara.
The newlyweds will continue their studies at Fullerton Junior College this fall. At present the bride is employed at Miller's Department Store and her husband is employed at Autonetics in Downey.
Exotic Plants to be Featured at OC Fair Plant Show Aug. 22, 23
Beauties from shady places all around the world are being groomed for the Sixth Annual Shade Show at Orange County Fair; grounds, 20391 Newport Blvd., Costa Mesa, Aug. 22 and Aug. 23.

The new board has authored a revitalized program to bridge unaffiliated families into the ple membership. Under the management of Sam Greenberg and vice-president of the Te and assisted by Jack Lazaran Anaheim, and Samuel Wen Santa Ana, the membership mittee has now embarked on program.

Members of the Y-Wives meet at the Coalson Morris 708 N. West St., Anaheim, 9:30 to 11:30 p.m. tonight for evening of swimming and school session.

Five discussion courses and a lecture-discussion course will be offered, starting the first week in October. A new course," Values in Conflict," and "Great Issues in Education" will meet in Fullerton.
"American Foreign Policy" and "Introduction to the Humanities" will meet in La Mirada and "Ways of Mankind" in Garden Grove.
The lecture-discussion group, "Understanding Music," will meet in Anaheim and Fullerton.

VFW Auxiliary Gives Clothing to Family
All material left over from the rummage sale held recently by the Anaheim Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary was donated to a veteran Mexican family, it was reported at the last meeting of the group.
Molly Chase, hospital chairman, made the report. She received a letter of thanks for the clothing donation. All the clothing is remodeled and repaired for the VFW veterans.
It was also reported that five escorts went to the Long Beach Veterans Hospital and donated their services.
Helen Moas attended the meeting following a long absence. The meeting was brief because of the small attendance due to summer vacations.
Refreshments were served by Adeline Schroeder and Molly Clase. The next meeting will be held July 27.
Anaheim Girls Among Winners at Orange County Fair 4-H Contests
Many Anaheim girls were among the winners in the 4-H Home Economics contest at the Orange County Fair, one of the largest participations the Fair has had.
The local girls figured prominently in the banking competitions. Winners in various categories include: rolled biscuits, Joan Collier, first place; Joan Collier, Judy Claussen, second; Judy Astier Sylvia Buzzo, Carol Harrison, Patty Horton and Sandra Paton, third place; raled biscuits variations: Joan Collier, first; Patty Horton, second; cornbread: Judy Claussen, second.
In the gingerbread class, Judy Joyce won first place and Patty Horton was a second place winner.
Carol Harrison and Sylvia Buzzo were second and third place winners in the bar cookie class.
In the shaped cookies' class, Joan Collier was a first place winner, while Judy Astier, Susan Barton and Judy Claussen won second place and Sylvia Buzzo, third.
Other categories and their winners were: yeast rolls entertain; Sandra Wood, first; pastry shell entertain: Deane and Sandra Wood, first; bar cookies entertain: Peggy Horton, first; Sandra Wood, third; upside-down cake entertain: Sandra Wood, second; chocolate cake baked goods: Jill Endicott, first; Susan Barton, second; refrigerator cookies: Joan Collier and Jill Endicott, second; and Sandra Wood, third.
Talk on Gloxiniae
The Orange County Branch of the California National Flower Society held its regular monthly meeting Tuesday, in the Amherst Legion Hall, 936 North Lemon Featured speaker of the event was Kelsey Williams owner of Plaza Nursery & Flower Shop Buena Park. Kelsey is an expert on the care and culture of Orlando and gave a talk on this subject.
Winners from Anaheim included sewing categories including Deanna Lynn Joyce, Judy Cohen, Georgianna Martin, Shigekawa Charlotte Range, Astler, Sylvia Buzzo, Peggy Paton and Sandra Wood.

OCC Names Three New Nursing Instructors for Fall Classes
Three new nursing instructors have joined the Orange Coast College two-year professional nursing staff for the fall class which opens Sept. 14 for Orange County students including many from Anaheim.
Mrs. Helen Mathewson, R. N., from Los Angeles will teach maternal child health - obstetrical, while Miss Dorothy Ellias, R. N., of Santa Clara will teach maternal child health-pediatrics.
Mrs. Jessie N. Watson, R. N., from San Francisco, will teach medical-surgical.
The two-year professional nursing at OCC is headed by Mrs. Helen D. Bowman, R. N., director.
Also on the OCC professional nursing faculty are Mrs. Mary M. Gradishar, R. N., and Miss Genevieve E. Becker, R. N., both of whom comprised the original professional nursing faculty with Mrs. Bowman.
Applications for a second class in the professional nursing education program are now being accepted by Mrs. Bownish.
OCC's program is approved by the California State Board of Nurse Examiners. The college itself is approved by the Western College Association. Applicants who desire information may contact Mrs. Bowman by calling OCC at KI 5-1151.
