School District Hires 30 More Teachers for Year Centralia School District's board of trustees gave official nod at its June meeting to add almost 30 new teachers to the district staff. According to Glen H. Dysinger, Superintendent, the teaching staff for the 1959-60 school year is within seven per cent of being complete. The board approved contracts to Maynard L. Morvay to fill the newly created post of speech consultant for the district and to James S. Lavold, school principal. Mrs. Lenora M. Triplett, who was employed in the district but left for one year to live in northern California city where her navy husband was transferred, will return to Centralia district next year, increasing the school nursing staff to three. Letter Received Attention of the board was directed to a letter received from Dr. Linn Hutchinson, consultant for the Orange County Division of Child Guidance and Special Services. Dr. Hutchinson commended Stanley H. Walters, in charge of special training in Centralia School district, and Mrs. Audrey McEwen, a first and second grade teacher in his staff, for their assistance on a county committee which developed a handbook for teachers in special training. Board Votes to Purchase Quonsets Anabeim Union High School Board of Trustees have voted to purchase two quonset huts. The huts will cost $100 per unit. When rehabilitated they will furnish eight classrooms each. The first to be prepared will be Orangeview. Doheny State Park Opens to Campers The Doheny Beach State Park at Dana Point, Orange County, is now open for camping. Charles A. DeTurk, chief of the Division of Beaches and Parks, said the reopening in advance of a planned July 1 date allowed a maximum of 920 individuals to make use of the beach camping facilities for an anticipated six member Seated: James A. Allen Sr. has been seated as a member of Magnolia School District. The appointment recently became necessary to fill the unexpired vacancy of retiring Ruth Pickering.
