LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSAL FOR FURNISHING ALL MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT AND PERFORMING ALL WORK NECESSARY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION AND COMPLETION WITHIN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, FOLLOWING PUBLIC IMPROvement OR WORK: THE DALE AVENUE SEWER IMPROvement FROM 710 FEET NORTH OF BALL ROAD TO BALL ROAD, JOB NO. 1158. PURSUANT to the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has ascertained the general prevailing rate of wages in the locality in Friday and 12:00 o'clock midnight Saturday, such work shall be paid for as the minimum rate of one and one-tenth times the basic rate of wages, except as otherwise provided in the May, 1958, revision of the A.G.C., B.C.A., H.B.L., E.G.C.A., A.F.L.-CLO., Southern California Master Labor Agreement. Holidays as herein referred to shall be deemed to be New Year's Day, Decoration Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If any of the above mentioned holidays other than Labor Day and Thanksgiving Day falls on Sunday, the following Monday shall be considered a legal holiday. It shall be mandatory upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded and upon any subcontractor under him to pay not less than the specified rates of wages to all laborers, workers and mechanics employed by them in the execution of the contract. Each bid shall be made out on a form to be obtained at the office of the City Clerk or the City Engineer of the City of Anaheim and shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bond for ten (10%) per cent of the amount of the bid made payable to the City of Anaheim and delivered to the City Clerk at the City Hall of the City of Anaheim before 2:00 p.m. on the 11th day of June, 1958, at which time sealed proposals will be opened in public by the City Clerk and the City Engineer.
