Los Angeles, Calif., U.S.A.—All Civic, business and industry organizations of California today were invited by CALFAIR's new public affairs committee to participate in the world trade fair. Through the committee, the California International Trade Fair & Industrial Exposition, to be held here from April 4-12, urged all important organizations to take part in a seven point program. "All Californians can benefit economically, culturally and educationally from CALFAIR," said Dick Miller, assistant manager of the California Newspaper Publishers' Association, and a member of CALFAIR's Public Affairs Committee. He said: "We urge all civic and business organizations to carry CALFAIR announcements in their publications; to talk about it at their meetings; to request speech material; to display CALFAIR materials and brochures, to pass resolutions supporting CALFAIR and to inform their local newspapers; to visit CALFAIR and to apply for group courtesies as visitors." He said inquiries could be directed to CALFAIR Manager Fred Imhof, 700 State Drive, Exposition Park, Los Angeles. CALFAIR, an exposition of consumer goods from 33 nations, will be a giant show window of the $20 billion retail market of California. This state is soon destined to be the number one market of the world and CALFAIR will reflect this new importance and opportunity, the committee said. CALFAIR will be held in the Great Western Exhibit Center, Santa Ana Freeway at Atlantic.
