LEGAL NOTICES (Pub. Anaheim Gazette Mar. 5 and 12, 1958, (47) RESOLUTION NO. 5062 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNTRY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING IT INTENTION TO CALL A SPECIAL DELECTION TO SUBMIT TO THE QUADRIFID BLEOTORK RESIDING IN THE HEREINAFTER DEScribed TERRITORY THE QUESTION OF ANNEXATION OF SAID TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. WHEREAS, a written request was received by the City of Anaheim from the following named proposers: Willa Jean Cornell, Margaret Cornett, Frank J. Galloway, Margaret E. Page, Late L. Page, Roy L. Burronans, Edward D. Griggs, Mrs. August Nievergelt, Evelyn G. Smaltz, Jana Vee Wade, Mrs. Laura Yvonne Han, Emma Rea, Jeannette Blinn, J. R. Blinn, K. Hair, Frank O. Stanway, Mrs. Amelia Stanway, Holly Molele Clark, City W. Clark, Paul H. Esward, Fisher, Lura M. Redlich, Hubert Wash, requesting the consent of the City Council to the commencement of proceedings for the annexation of certain inhabited territory, more particularly hereinafter described, to the City of Anaheim pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation Act of 1913 (Title IV, Division I, Part II), Chapter 1, Articles 1 to 4, inclusive of the Government Code of California); and WHEREAS, said request was sent to the Commission for a recommendation and report; and WHEREAS, on the 8th day of January, 1959, the City Council did receive from the City Planning Commission its recommendation approving the proposed annexation; and WHEREAS, the proposal for the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim has been submitted to the Boundary Commission of the County of Orange for its report to the Commission with regard to the definitions and certainness of the proposed boundary; that said Boundary Commission has reported upon the petition or proceedings within twenty (20) days after it was submitted to it; and WHEREAS, said City Council did on the 8th day of January, 1959, adopt Resolution No. 4967 giving its consent to the commencement of said annexation and approving its circulation of a petition for the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, on the 8th day of January, 1959, said proponents did publish a notice of intention to circulate a petition for the annexation of the hereinafter described property to the City of Anaheim, and within ten (10) days thereafter did file with the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim a copy of such proponent's petition for the annexation to the City of Anaheim of said territory, which notice contained the names of stationed west line $7 feet to the point of intersection with the north line or the south $60 feet of the ES' of the W'% of the NE'% of the SE'% of said Section 18; and Westerly along the last mentioned north line to the east line of the W'% of the NE'% of the SE'% of said Section 18; thence. Northerly along the last mentioned east line to the north line of the SE'% of said Section 18; thence. Westerly along the last mentioned north line to the south line of the N'% of the NE'% of said Section 18; thence. Westerly along the last mentioned south line to the point of intersection with the City limits line of the City of Buena Park, said line also being the east line of the W'% of said Section 18; thence. Olympic Blvd. L.A. 22 Frank Tausch AGENCY Since 1919 WHEREAS, said City Council did on the 5th day of January, 1859, admonition to the commencement of said annexation proceedings and approving the circulation of a petition for the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, on the 5th day of January, 1859, said proponents did publish a notice of intention to circulate a petition for the annexation of the boundary between City of Anaheim and within ten (10) days thereafter did file with the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim a copy of such notice of intention to circulate a petition for the annexation to the City of Anaheim of said territory, which notice contained the names of the proponents intending to circulate the petition and the specific boundaries thereof, accompanied by a printed statement, not exceeding five hundred (500) words in length, containing reasons for the petition, together with an affidavit of the publication of said notice of intention to circulate a petition; and WHEREAS, within fifteen (15) days after the filing of said notice of intention to circulate a petition and said affidavit of publication, the City Council did, on the 13th day of January, 1859, adopt Resolution No. 4722 finding and determining that it would be to the advantage and for the best interest of the City of Anaheim and the qualified electors residing within the herein-after described territory, to approve the circulation of said territory to the City of Anaheim and did thereupon approve the circulation of said petition; and WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of March, 1859, the City Council did receive a petition signed by not less than one-fourth of the qualified electors residing within the herein-after described territory, to approve the circulation of said territory to the City of Anaheim and did thereupon approve the circulation of said petition; and that it is signed by not less than one-fourth of the qualified electors residing within the herein-after described territory, to approve the circulation of said territory to the City of Anaheim and did thereupon approve the circulation of said petition; and that it is signed by not less than one-fourth of the qualified electors residing within the herein-after described territory, to approve the circulation of said territory to the City of Anaheim and did thereupon approve the circulation of said petition; and that it is signed by not less than one-fourth of the qualified electors residing within the herein-after described territory, to approve the circulation of said territory to the City of Anaheim and did thereupon approve the circulation of said petition; and that it is signed by not less than one-fourth of the qualified electors residing within the herein-after described territory, to approve the circulation of said territory to the City of Anaheim and did thereupon approve the circulation of said petition; and that it is signed by not less than one-fourth of the qualified electors residing within the herein-after described territory, to approve does further find, from evidence and reports received and from said petition, that at the time of the sale petition, that said new territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim did not form a part of any other city or municipal corporation, and that said territory was, at the time of filing said petition inhabited territory and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, the City Council does further find that it would be to the advantage and for the best interests of the City of Anaheim, and the residents thereof, and the qualified electors residing within the territory proposed to be annexed, as herein after more particularly described. To submit the question of the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim to the electors residing within said territory; and WHEREAS, The City Council does further find that said territory should be designated by some appropriate name by which it may be referred to upon the ballots used at the election at which the question of annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim shall be submitted to the electors residing within said territory and that an appropriate designation for such territory is KNOTT-ORANGE ANNEXATION; and WHEREAS, The City Council finds from said petition and evidence and reports received that the boundaries of the territory so proposed and sought to be annexed to the City of Anaheim as follows: to wit: Said territory is situated in the County of Orange State of California, and the specific boundaries thereof are as follows: KNOTT-ORANGE ANNEXATION A tract of land being a portion of the east half of Section 15. Township 4 South, Range 11 West, N.B.B.M. located in the County of Orange State of California, described as follows: Beginning at a point in the existing Anaheim City limits line as established by the Hall-Dale Annexation to the City of Anaheim, as passed by Ordinance No. 1982 on November 13, 1966, and filed with the Secretary of State on December 12, 1954, said point being 30 feet west of the east line and 29 feet north of the south line of the NE% of said Section 15: thence. 1. Following - said City limits line southerly to a point said point being in the west corner with and 27 feet north of the north line of the south 10 chains of the NE% of the SE% of said Section 15: thence. 2.
