MRS. JAMES WILL
Rita Mitchell Will, 60, a native of San Francisco and a resident of Anaheim for several years residing at 2431 W. Broadway, died early Tuesday morning at the Santa Maria Convalescent Home in Fullerton after an extended illness. She is survived by her husband, James S. Will; two sons: Earl Smith of New Jersey, and W. R. Smith of Marysville, California; three daughters: Mrs. Rita Lindblad of Phoenix, Ariz., Edith Smith and Diana Will both at home and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Hilgenfeld Mortuary Chapel Wednesday at 2 o'clock. Rev. Paul H. Kugler will officiate and cremation will follow.
OSCAR CRIBBS
Oscar Cribbs, 78, a native of Indiana and a resident of Anaheim for 13 years, living at 119 S. Melrose, died last Monday at the Orange County Hospital. He leaves no known relatives. Funeral services were conducted at the graveside in Loma Vista Memorial Park, Friday. Hilgenfeld Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO VACATE AND ABANDON AN EASEMENT FOR ROAD AND PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES UPON ALONG, OVER, ACROSS AND THROUGH THE HEREINAFTER DEScribed REAL PROPERTY: FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR A NEW ENTRY AND BREACHING THE FONTING OF NOTICES THEREOF AND THE PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS;
SECTION 1.
That the City Council of the City Anaheim does hereby declare that a time and place for hearing is interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of share丹ishment shall be fixed not less than fifteen (15) days from the date of the passage of this Ordinance. That the 13th day of January, 1958, at 7:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim is hereby fixed as the time and place for a public hearing on the matter of such vacation abandonment and closing to public use thereof. Why such easement and the use thereof for the purposes herein mentioned shall be posted conspicuously along the line on said easement at least ten feet away from the date set for such hearing. Such notice shall be posted more than 300 feet apart at least three (3) such notices shall be posted. Such notices shall state the passage of this Ordinance of intention and the time and place on the hearing upon the matter of such vacation abandonment and closure in said City Anaheim.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING ARTICLES VI CHAPTER 1. SECTION 6109.23. Paragraphs 27, 29, 30 and 31 OF THEANAHEIMMUNICIPAL CODE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Article VI. Chapter 1. Section 6109.23. Paragraphs 27, 29, 30 and 31 OF the Anaheim Municipal Code be and the same are hereby amended to read a follower "SECTION III. LICENSE TAX PROFESSIONS AND SERVICES." "77. Amusement Machine, Music Box."
"(a) No person shall conduct, carry on or manage the business of any game, exhibition, show-board game, or amusement device or any mechanical amusement device or machine which upon the insertion of a coin, slug or token in any slot or receptacle attached to machine or connected with operators or may be operated for use as a game, content or amusement or for the dispensing of music or which may be used for any such game, context, amusement or music or entertainment and which contains any pay-off device for return of slugs, coin, money, check tokens or merchandise."

(e) The address and name of the owner, lessee, or other person in control of the establishment or establishments wherein the game, recreational or mechanical amusement device or devices are proposed to be located.
(f) The citizenship of the applicant.
(g) If the applicant has been convicted of a crime and deemed then a statement concerning the same should be required of the applicant, giving the time and place of such convictions.
(h) A statement that the game, recreational or mechanical amusement device or devices for which a license is sought, is not lifted to be, and will not be permitted to be used for any gambling purpose whatsoever.
(i) A complete description of the game, recreational or mechanical amusement device or devices, and the manner in which they are to be placed and operated.
(j) A statement of the applicant's interest in, or title to, the game, recreational or mechanical amusement device or devices for which a license is sought.
(k) Investigation.
(Such application shall be referred to the Chief of Police by the License Collector; the purpose of investigation and the days to investigate same, and following said tentary period, the Chief of Police shall recommend either approval or disapproval of such application. In writing, at the next regular or adjourned regular meeting of the City Council.
(31. Issuance and Form of License.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING RELATIVE TO PETITION FOR RECLASSIFICATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT
(1) A statement of the applicant's interest in, or title to, the game, recreational or mechanical amusement device or devices for which a license is sought.
(2) Such application shall be referred to the Chief of Police by the License Collector for the purpose of investigation and the Chief of Police shall be allowed ten (10) days to investigate same, and following said ten-day period, the Chief of Police shall recommend either approval or disapproval of such application, in writing, at the next regular or adjourned regular meeting of the City Council.
(3) Upon the approval of the application by the City Council, the License Collector shall issue a license to the applicant upon the payment of the license fee as hereinafter provided.
Each license shall show:
(a) The name of the permittee.
(b) The address at which the game, recreational or mechanical amusement device is to be operated.
(c) The serial number of the permit.
(d) The expiration date of the license.
(e) Sufficient description of the particular device, including its serial number, to identify it.
(f) The operator of any such machine shall keep such license continuously attached to the machine and in a position where it is conspicuous and readily visible to any person operating the machine.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once within fifteen (15) days from and after its adoption in the Anaheim Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage it shall be in full force and effect.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING RELATIVE TO PETITION FOR RECLASSIFICATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT
(1) A statement of the applicant's interest in, or title to, the game, recreational or mechanical amusement device or devices for which a license is sought.
(2) Such application shall be referred to the Chief of Police by the License Collector for the purpose of investigation and the Chief of Police shall be allowed ten (10) days to investigate same, and following said ten-day period, the Chief of Police shall recommend either approval or disapproval of such application, in writing, at the next regular or adjourned regular meeting of the City Council.
(3) Upon the approval of the application by the City Council, the License Collector shall issue a license to the applicant upon the payment of the license fee as hereinafter provided.
Each license shall show:
(a) The name of the permittee.
(b) The address at which the game, recreational or mechanical amusement device is to be operated.
(c) The serial number of the permit.
(d) The expiration date of the license.
(e) Sufficient description of the particular device, including its serial number, to identify it.
(f) The operator of any such machine shall keep such license continuously attached to the machine and in a position where it is conspicuous and readily visible to any person operating the machine.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once within fifteen (15) days from and after its adoption in the Anaheim Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage it shall be in full force and effect.
