$100 for Theme Of Orange Show A double barreled opportunity to become one of the world's highest paid authors and at the same time pick up an extra $100 for Christmas gift buying awaits the winner of the National Orange Show's annual theme contest. The National Orange Show will pay $100 for a theme idea for the forty-fourth citrus exposition to be held in San Bernardino April 23 through May 3, 1959. For a three-word title that's $33.33 per word: Contest Crosses Nov. 30 The contest, being conducted throughout southern California, is open to anyone regardless of age except officials and employees of the National Orange Show and members of their families. The contest closes at midnight, Sunday, November 30, 1958. The theme must be short, preferably two or three words and since the 1959 National Orange Show will be slanted toward a Polynesian motif, contestants should take into consideration the choice of words to describe the South Seas and environs. The theme adopted must lend itself also to varied interpretations by designers of the golden exhibits. Rules Are Simple Rules for the contest are simple. Plainly print or type only one suggested theme, together with the sender's name, address and telephone number on the back of a U.S. Post Office standard two-cent postal card and mail is to the National Orange Show, San Bernardino, California. HARLEY ROUTH Harley Calvin Routh, 55, a native of Oklahoma and a resident of Orange County for four years, living at 6576 Manchester Blvd., Buena Park, died suddenly at his home early Monday. He leaves his wife, Beulah M. Routh; daughters, Mrs. Helen Newbern, Mrs. Betty Younkin and Mrs. Irene Cline all of Kansas, Sisters, Mrs. Grace Jennings of Pacolina, Mrs. Doris Sutton of Chicago and Mrs. Loren Snyder of Arlington, and 11 grandchildren. ADELB KELLENBERGER Adele Kellenberger, 83, a native of Wisconsin and a resident of Anaheim for 75 years, living at 119 S. Olive Street, died Friday evening in the Kimball Sanitarium.
