Mister Riceburger
Here's a real conversation piece for special dinners — a pleasant way to get real nourishment into your feeding-problem child. For fun, you can make sad or glad faces; have girl-Riceburgers or boy-Riceburgers. Use olives, pimento pieces, radishes, pickles, onions and even peanuts to make the faces. Use green beans, shreds of carrots or celery, onion rings or parsley for "hair." Serve 'em with a "cap" of hot tomato sauce.
INGREDIENTS:
2/3 cup uncooked white rice
12/3 cups water
1½ teaspoons salt
1 slice white bread
1/3 cup milk
1¼ lbs. ground beef
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon thick steak sauce
1/3 cup grated sharp cheese
Stuffed green olive slices
1, 8-oz. can tomato sauce
METHOD: Put the rice, 11/3 cups of the water and ½ teaspoon of the salt in a 2-quart saucepan. Bring to a vigorous boll. Turn the heat down low. Cover with a lid. Simmer over this low heat 14 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the heat but leave the lid on 10 minutes.
While the rice cooks, tear the bread into small pieces. Smilk. Stir in beef, 1 teaspoon the salt, ½ teaspoon of the per and the steak sauce. Well. Roll into 12 balls. Cover a pan, large enough 6 meat patties, with alum foil. Place 6 of the meat in the pan. Pat out as flat thin as possible.
After the rice cooks, stir in remaining 1/3 cup water, ½ teaspoon black pepper, stirring, until the water is sorbed. Stir in cheese. Place equal amount of the rice each meat patty.
Pat out the other 6 meat as thin as possible. Place the rice mixture. Pinch around edges to seal in the Press olive slices into the patties to make eyes; piece pimiento for a mouth and other foods as peanuts, radish onion slices, celery, pickle carrots may be used. If any the food appears to dry out ing baking, grease or lightly with aluminum foil. About 25 minutes before ing, place the stuffed Riceggers in a 350° F. oven. Bake to 25 minutes or until the is done. Serve immediately tomato sauce heated until

MAX V. ELIASON WAS FIRST CHOICE OF ANAHEIM VOTERS FOR MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE AT THE JUNE PRIMARY ELECTION
The Max V. Eliason Family
Our Courts...Bulwark of the Home
As a family man, the father of six children, I am perhaps more than ordinarily interested in protecting the integrity of the family.
As Assistant District Attorney, I have always been conscious of that responsibility in handling cases that appear before the courts, and have devoted myself to preserving the interests of the family.
As a former Juvenile Court Judge, I became aware of the important part the court can play in family affairs.
Now I am a candidate for Judge of Municipal Court, in which office I would have even better opportunity to serve the interests of the family.
