S - Anaheim Gazette Anaheim, Calif., Thurs., Aug. 28, 1958 California Bank Adds Two More Frank L. King, president of California Bank, has announced that the bank's directors, and the directors of The First National Bank of Palmdale and of the Bank of Northridge, have approved an agreement whereby California Bank will purchase the business of the latter two banks. The sale and purchase is subject to the approval of bank supervisory authorities and of the shareholders of each bank. It is expected, subject to the shareholders approval, that actual transfer of the business will take place as of October 3, 1958, or as soon thereafter as the necessary legal formalities have been concluded. According to Frank L. King, all present active officers and employees of the two banks will continue in their respective positions. Engineering bachelor's degrees in 1957 totaled 31,211, compared to 26,306 in the previous year, reports Electronics, McGraw-Hill publication.
