The facts about Forest Lawn-Cypress Improvements like this lovely Administration Building at Forest Lawn-Glendale remain on the tax rolls. If the property is not annexed, there will be no tax Taxes The people of Cypress have two options on the Forest Lawn property: Not to annex it. To annex and rezone it so that Forest Lawn may create in Cypress another beautiful Memorial-Park. If the property is not annexed, there will be no tax income for Cypress. If Cypress annexes the property as a Forest Lawn Memorial-Park, it is estimated that tax income would be over $6,300 per year in the early years, more in succeeding years. This is so because we will invest nearly $1,000,000 in improvements and development of the park in the first few years. Incidentally, Forest Lawn taxes go up, not down, from year to year. This year, for instance, we will pay over $24,000 more in taxes than we did in 1957. But, because Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks are virtually self-contained, there would be no additional burden on city government, schools, sewer facilities, street construction, traffic control, etc. In other words, without increasing the load or cost of Cypress city services, there would be more income for schools and government—and possibly a reduction of individual tax load for Cypress residents. These are the facts on taxes on Forest Lawn-Cypress. Forest Lawn MEMORIAL-PARKS
