Over the years you've come to expect your phone calls to go through swiftly and smoothly. To keep your service dependable, we make sure our equipment's working well all along the line. And we've developed lots of ways to head off trouble before it starts. For instance, in the maintenance center above, a special line tester checks thousands of lines in just one hour. It lets us know if anything needs fixing. And this is just one of many testers, alarms and trouble-spotters that our people use. In town and out in the country, we guard your service at all times with watchful eyes.
SAFETY FIRST
Here you see Jim Pogue, installation foreman checking a list of safety steps with Jim Allen, installer for Anaheim. No matter how big the job or how busy the installer, these check steps are made each morning before the route is started. The Company provides the safety eye-glasses both men are wearing. These precautions are life-saving and money-saving for us, and, we feel protection to the life and limb of the people of our Community.

Let's be sensible!
We cannot prevent a cemetery on the Lawrence property by voting against the annexation!
This property is located in the County — not in the City of Cypress!!
If we vote against the annexation, we simply say "Cypress doesn't want the revenue Forest Lawn will bring to our city."
If we don't vote for the annexation perhaps another city will annex the property as a cemetery or the County may permit a cemetery there. In either event, a cemetery is established and Cypress gets nothing.
Or — if no cemetery is established on the property, it may be a subdivision, but it will be in the County and Cypress will get no tax revenue
