Among the many special attractions at the opening will be a "treasure chest" filled with new pennies which will be displayed in the lobby of the branch for two weeks. Jones with a gold key to his branch shortly after ribbon-cutting ceremonies at 7 p.m. FLORENCE KNOCH CALKINS Florence Knoch Calkins, 79, a native of Illinois and a resident of Anaheim since 1921, living at 909 E. Santa Ana St., died Saturday afternoon after a prolonged illness. She leaves her husband, H. Roy Calkins, one son, Glen T. Knoch of Anaheim; brother, Goin O. Dakota to Anaheim in 1929, died July 3 in her home at 207 South East St. after a prolonged illness. She is survived by one son, Albert M. Cranston, teacher of music; three sisters, Mrs. S. W. Brown of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Charles Carlson of Washington, Ill.; and Mrs. Elizabeth Hoefflin of Ladyssmith, Wis.; two brothers, Adolph M. Weppler of Greeley, Colo., and John R. Weppler of Midway City, Calif.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and of the Royal Neighbor Lodge. Funeral services were conducted in the Hilgenfeld Mortuary Chapel Monday. Rev. Earl Kernahan, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiated. Vincent Lamas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Lamas, 1027 Patt St., Anaheim, recently made a tactical training parachute jump with the 101st Airborne Division's 506th Infantry at Fort Campbell, Ky. Lamas is assigned to the infantry's Company D. He entered the Army in June 1957 and was last stationed at Fort Ord. The 20-year-old soldier in a 1957 graduate of Anaheim Union High School.
