WITH THE FIRST FLEET—Peter G. Howland, radarman third class, USN, son of Mrs. Peggy Howland of 537 Reseda, Anaheim, aboard the destroyer USS Harry E. Hubbard, and Bill B. EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, ALASKA—Army Specialist Nicholas W. LaPhyle, son of Mrs. Josephine Bakens, 1854 Zeyn Street, Anaheim, California, recently arrived in Alaska and is now a member of the 13th Transportation Battalion at Eielson Air Force Base. STARTING THE NEW YEAR RIGHT—Trigger, owned by Mrs. Klorice K. Davis of San Francisco (left), probably is the thriftiest pooch in the world! Here he is starting 1958 right by "signing" an application with his paw for a Christmas Club savings account. Assisting him is F. J. Macchia of Bank of America from whom Trigger begged a quarter to start the account. Saving is nothing new for him; he opened his first Christmas Club a year ago and collected a $25 check for a gay dog's holiday.
