Elliott Secretary Anaheim Sues For Faulty Street Work The City of Anaheim has filed a $95,000 suit in Orange County Superior Court against the Saint Paul-Mercury Indemnity Company of Delaware for alleged inefficiency of the Calamar Company's contracted street and alley work in an Anaheim subdivision. The suit charged that the indemnity corporation backed a contract submitted in April, 1956, by the Calamar Company, and that Calamar "has failed, neglected and refused to make complete all of the tract improvement agreed to be made." The $95,000 sought by the city includes an alleged cost to the city of $14,500 to complete the work.
