Edison Company Rate Increase Approved by PUC
New electric rates authorized this week by the California Public Utilities Commission will add about 59 cents a month to the bill of the average domestic customer, it was pointed out today by J. A. Long, district manager for Southern California Edison Company.
He calls attention to the fact that Edison rates have been reduced repeatedly since 1922. Even under the new schedules, he said, Edison customers still will be paying approximately the same rates as they did in 1931.
The rate increase, which is only the second one the company has received in 34 years, will go into effect November 9. The PUC estimates the new rates will increase Edison's gross revenue by approximately $25,000,000.

Protect your engine with Heavy Duty RPM Motor Oil
Heavy Duty RPM Motor Oil protects gasoline engines against three basic causes of damage: carbon deposits, rust, and wear. A detergent washes away deposits – keeps them from adhering to engine surfaces. Other compounds prevent rust formation, crankcase foaming.
A tough film of oil stays on vital parts, whether engine is hot or cold, running or idle. So for longer engine life, drain and refill regularly with Heavy Duty RPM Motor Oil.

Only Electric Dryers can do it. In an electric dryer, radiant coils warm the air inside. There's no flame, none of the by-products of combustion. It's cleaner and purer than any other way of drying. 32% fluffier than back-yard drying—and electric drying doesn't fade colors.
Electric dryers not only cost less to buy, but less to maintain. Before you tote another load out into the hot sun, see the new electric dryers at your appliance dealer.
