Lemo 0.95 as its share of the semi-annual apportionment of trailer license fees for the period Dec. 1956, to May 31, 1957. A total of $2,370,135.84 was distributed to California counties accordance with a 1935 amendment to the Motor Vehicle License Fee Law, Kirkwood said. The total distribution is an increase of $469,935.15, or 24.73 per unit, over the amount apportioned for the same period last year. The amendment was enacted to ensure that license fees are paid all trailer coaches registered in California. After deduction of administrative costs, license fee revenues are distributed semi-annually to the counties on the basis of the registered address of the vehicles. Under the law, the county auditor distributes the total amount equally among the county, the city—if the address is within the city—and the school district in which each trailer is located.
