Management Club Has Noted Speaker
"How Supervisors Can Give Talks Instead of Speeches" was the subject of Henry Kingston's program at the regular dinner meeting of the Anaheim YMCA Industrial Management Club last Monday evening, according to Vice President Jim Wright, program chairman.
Kingston for eight years has acted as instructor and speech consultant in a number of outstanding corporations and clubs, among which were 20th Century Fox Pictures, North American Aviation, Lockheed Aircraft, McBean Corporation, Insurance Association of Los Angeles and others. For two and one-half years he was on the staff at the University of California extension where he taught special classes in microphone and platform speaking for executives. As radio commentator and writer, he has for 15 years written, produced and commented shows emanating from Chicago. His articles and lectures on effective speaking have aroused national attention because of their practical nature.
The second part of the program Monday was an illustrated lecture by Coach Claire Van Hoorebeke as he presented movies of the Anaheim Union High School football championship games.
