Joseph D. Kopsho
Claimed by Death
Joseph D. Kopsho passed away suddenly from a heart attack at his home at 1762 Crescent Avenue last Sunday. He was 70 years of age, born in Illinois and had been a resident of Anaheim since 1925.
The deceased was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and Holy Name Society.
Surviving are his wife, Anna M. Kopsho of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Evans of Arcadia; one son, Joseph D. Kopsho, Jr., of Anaheim, two grandchildren, and one brother, Albert Kopsho of Anaheim.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held Wednesday evening at 7:30 at Backs, Campbell and Kaulbars Mortuary Chapel with Mass at St. Boniface Church this morning, Thursday, at 9 o'clock. Interment followed in Holy Sepulchre cemetery.
Mrs. Nina M. Brooks Passes on Wednesday
Mrs. Nina M. Brooks, 65 years of age, passed away at her home at 612½ E. Chartres Street, this city, on Wednesday. She was a native of Missouri and had resided in Anaheim for 16 months.
She was a member of the Baptist Church in Missouri.
Survivors are her husband, Edward H. Brooks of the home; two sons, Edward D. of Anaheim, and Roy L. of Mo.; three daughters, Mrs. Alma Burnett of Springfield, Mo., Mrs. Mildred Jones of Fullerton, and Miss Myrtle J. Brooks of the home; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Backs, Campbell and Kaulbars Mortuary with the Rev. Bob Kevorkian, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was in Fairhaven cemetery.
The motor fuel used in the Iwo Jima campaign would have filled a train of tank cars 238 miles long, and the libricating oil fould have filled an additional 125 box cars.
