Local Man Gets LA Fire Dept. Badge
James D. Ross, 10172 Forest Lane, Anaheim, has just completed the Los Angeles City Fire Department's internationally recognized ten weeks training course in the fundamentals and skills of basic firemanship.
Part of a class of 67 rookie firemen who graduated on January 8 and 9 at the Department's Training Co. No. 1, 110 N. Avenue 19, the above graduate will be assigned to an active firefighting unit, in or near his own community.
Graduation exercises included demonstrations on and around the six story training tower by the members, of the evolutions and skills learned during the rigorous training course.
The ceremony was concluded as each new fireman was called out to receive his badge and congratulations from Chief William Millen.
