Rose Parade Is Predicted Largest to Date Nine new float sponsors will parade floral entries in Pasadena's Tournament of Roses pageantry New Year's Day. J. Randolph Richards, chairman of the Tournament's parade entry committee, said the parade has been closed to floats with a total of 63 scheduled to move along the five mile parade route. New out-of-state entries are Phoenix, Arizona; Keokuk, Iowa; the United States Army Recruiting Service; Quaker Oats; and the States of Iowa and Oregon. The state entries from Iowa and Oregon are not to be confused with the Big Ten and Pacific Coast Conference entries, which each year enter floats in behalf of the two teams opposing each other in the Rose Bowl Football Game, Richards stated. Entries from California making first appearances in the Rose Parade are the Adult Schools of Los Angeles, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary; and the Cities of Indio and San Clemente.
