Spring-flowering bulbs are probably among the most popular of all garden-flowers but while awaiting their bloom the garden bed is apt to be uninteresting. Gardeners who are planting such bulbs as daffodils, hyacinths, lilies and tulips can cover over the bulb beds with early-blooming annuals—and thus keep the garden attractive at all times.
