(moderate oven). Combine first six ingredients with half the catsup. Mix well. Blend rest of catsup, egg and beef. Pat meat and bread mixtures alternately in half-inch layers in each of two 1-quart foil loaf pans, beginning and ending with meat layer. Bake at 325°F. for 45 minutes. Cool. Zapasnik is a member of the 8th Infantry Division which has been stationed at Fort Carson, Colo., and is replacing the 9th Infantry Division in Germany. A tank gunner in the Tank Company of the division's 55 Regiment, he entered the Army last March. Pvt. Paul Wimer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis A. Wimer, 17 Evelyn Dr., Anaheim, recently was graduated from the movement control course at the Army's Transportation School in Fort Eustis, Va. Wimer received training in military and commercial freight procedures and government bills of lading. On two weeks active duty at the Naval Amphibious Base, Conado, was Marine Reserve Lt. Lt. Edward S. Krass of 903 Emerson St., Anaheim. Lt. Krauss is employed by St. Catherina Military School here. Mrs. Therese Whiteside of Garden Grove was a double winner in the color competition of the Fuchsia Society To Hear Talk on Bulb Planting, Care The Orange County branch of the California National Fuchsia Society will hold their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 8 p.m., in Legion Hall, 936 N. Lemon Street in Anaheim. Speaker for the evening will be Homer Greene of the California Spray Chemical Corporation, (Ortho Products). Mr. Greene will show a film on "Bulbs", and will answer questions, give information on when to plant the various types of bulbs and how to care for them. The meeting is open to all gardeners and flower lovers, and a hearty invitation is extended to all who wish to attend. A social hour with refreshments will follow the meeting. ing Unit. Her slides were awarded first and third places. Other color prize winners were Adin Wimpey of Santa Ana who placed second, while Dr. Richard Preston of Santa Ana and Charles Bergh of Anaheim were awarded honorable mention. In the black and white section, Mrs. Julia Foss Purnis of Yorba Linda also took double honors of first and third places with her large prints, and Roy Agren of Anaheim walked off with second place prize and an honorable mention. Critic and judge of the evening for both color transparencies and the black and white prints was a long-time photographic enthusiast, John J. Goodwin of Whitier. The winning slides and prints from the Fotoguild will be entered in council competition in Los Angeles in October. All judging is made on widely-accepted rules based on points for interest, composition and technical excellence.
