DON’T BE STAMPEDED!
There IS opposition to the so-called “oil conservation” measure being circulated in California
Its promoters are Standard Oil, Richfield Oil, and several other major international oil companies with HUGE ARABIAN OIL INVESTMENTS
They have already spent several million dollars to propagate their scheme. They are planning to spend millions more to put it over at the November election.
WHY?
In the public interest?
Or in their own interest?
Why did they by-pass your representatives in the State Legislature?
Were they afraid that committee hearings and floor debate would expose their “conservation” bill as a greedy and arrogant OIL CONTROL device to give them MONOPOLY over the oil business in California?
Why didn’t they consult the hundreds of small independent California producers, refiners and marketers?
Was it because they want to choke off competition from the independents? If the independents are throttled, won’t the major international oil companies flood California with Arabian oil and line their pockets with fabulous profits?

HOW WILL OIL CONTROL AFFECT YOU?
What will it mean to the property owners of California?
How many California workers will it throw out of jobs?
What will it cost the State in wealth and taxes?
THE CALIFORNIA OIL INDUSTRY OPERATES TODAY—and HAS OPERATED FOR YEARS—UNDER STRICT STATE CONSERVATION LAWS. THESE LAWS ARE THE BEST IN THE NATION.
YES, there IS opposition to this OIL CONTROL scheme; and there will be growing opposition from an aroused public when the true story is told.
Don't be STAMPEDED! Get the FACTS! Don't be MISLED!
