Joseph Paul Adams Death Last Friday
Joseph Paul Adams passed away last Friday afternoon at the Orange County General hospital following a prolonged illness. He came to America as a child from his native land, England, where he was born 68 years ago. He lived in Hutchinson, Kansas for many years before coming to California. There he married Buth H. Ellis on Oct. 20, 1920. He came to Fullerton in 1932 where he and his wife owned and operated the Prosperity Cleaning Shop. He had been residing with his brother, Maurice M. Adams at 749 No. Paulina Street, this city.
Survivors are two brothers, Maurice of Anaheim, and James C. Adams of Los Angeles; two nephews, Philip L. Adams of Fullerton and Eugene P. Barnes of Garden Grove.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m., from Hilgenfeld chapel with Interment in Anaheim cemetery.

Irma H. Murphy, Anaheim Resident 31 Yrs. Passes Away
Irma H. Murphy, 65 years of age, born in Indiana, coming to California in 1917, and who has resided in Anaheim for 31 years, died at the family home, 315 E. Wilhelmina St., last Monday. Her husband left for work in the morning and the son and wife came to call before noon and discovered the body.
She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Murphy; one daughter, Mrs. Beree Reed of Concord, Calif.; one son, Charles Robert "Bob" Murphy of Anaheim; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Amos and Mrs. Halie Collins, both of San Bernardino; one brother, Sydney Clarkson of Wellington, Kansas, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Virgil K. Ledbetter, former pastor of the First Baptist Church in Anaheim, officiated and burial followed in Loma Vista Memorial Park.
Mrs. Lillie Quinlan Death Last Friday
Mrs. Lillie M. Quinlan, 59 years of age, passed away at Anaheim Community hospital last Friday, Mar. 16. She was born in Colorado and had resided at 705 No. East Street, Anaheim, for six months.
She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Survivors are her husband, Walter T. Quinlan of the home; four sons, Leo, Paul and David of Long Beach, and Timothy of Compton; one daughter, Mrs. Eileen Lewis of Rosamond, Calif., and two grandchildren.
Holy Rosary was recited Tuesday evening at 7:30 o'clock from the chapel of Backs, Campbell and Kaulbars Mortuary. Mass was said at St. Boniface church Wednesday at 9 am, with interment in Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

Reyes, in the Army since Feb. 1954, is a gunner in Support Company of the 82nd Airborne Division's 504th Regiment at Fort Bragg, N.C. His wife, Doris, lives in Spring Lake N.C.
Pvt. Johnny R. Gelb, son of Mrs. Alpha Kogin, Stanton, is receiving basic combat training with the 8th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colo.
Gelb is training with the division's 41st Tank Battalion. The unit is preparing for its move to Europe next fall as part of Operation Gyroscope.
Paul Waldorf, seaman, USN, son of Mrs. Gladys Waldorf of 1419 Arizona Pl., Anaheim, departed from Long Beach, Feb. 28 for a six month cruise in the Far East aboard the Pacific Fleet destroyer USS Mansfield.
The Mansfield, flagship for the Commander of Destroyer Squadron 9, recently completed a three month overhaul period at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard.
Jack R. Lundy, airman, USN, is serving as a ground crew plane captain with Air Anti-Submarine Squadron 38, based near San Diego. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald S. Lundy of 10281 Bouvais, Anaheim, Calif.
LIFE MEMBERSHIP
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Shroeder of 414 N. Citron St., have been awarded life memberships in Fremont P-TA. It is believed this is the first time that a local couple have jointly received such an award. It was made on the basis of their youth leadership activities here during the past five years. They have two sons, Bobbie is a student at Fremont Jr. High School.

1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1½ cups skim milk
1½ cups canned pumpkin
2 eggs separated
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon grated orange rind
¼ teaspoon salt
30 crushed noncaloric sweetener tablets
Sprinkle gelatin over ½ of the cold skin milk in a small bowl. In the top of a double boiler heat the remaining 1 cup milk. stir in pumpkin and egg yolks, beating to blend well. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and orange rind. Cook over hot water, stirring frequently, for 10 minutes.
Stir salt, sweetener and softener gelatin into pumpkin mixture. Chill until mixture is slightly thickened. Beat egg whites stiff. Beat pumpkin mixture until very smooth; fold beaten egg white into it. Pour into crust and chill until firm. serves 6. Calories: 17 per serving.
Whipped Topping: Put ½ cued wafer, ½ cup dry milk in chilled bowl. Beat 2 minutes high speed. Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon vanilla, crushed noncaloric sweetener tablets. Beat 2 minutes. Chill to stiffen; makes 3 cups. Calories: 5 tablespoon.
LOW-CALORIE
RYE WAFFER CRUST
¼ teaspoon gelatin
3 tablespoons light cream
3 tablespoons soft butter or
¼ cup Butter Whip (recipe below)
1¼ cups crushed or broken, then finely rolled, rye wafers (eighteen)
3 drops noncaloric liquid sweetener
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Soften gelatin in 1 tablespoon the cream in a small bowl. Place bowl in a pan of hot water until gelatin is dissolved. Move from heat; beat in remaining cream and soft butter until smooth and well blended. Reheat this mixture or ¼ cup Butter Whip until melted.
Combine crumbs, sweetener and cinnamon in a bowl. Pour melted

MAYONNAISE MEAT LOAD
3 cups diced cooked veal
3 tablespoons gelatin
3 tablespoons water
1¼ cups hot meat stock
½ cup diced celery
½ cup stuffed olives, sliced
1 cup peas, cooked
3 hard-cooked eggs, diced
2 tablespoons capers
1 cup mayonnaise
Soak gelatin in water and dissolve it in meat stock. Cool. A remaining ingredients to diveal. When gelatin mixture begins to congeal combine it with myriad mixture and pour it into a 5-inch loaf pan. Place in refrigerator and allow to stand until very firm. Yield: 10 to 12 servings.

Death Last Monday Claims Steve Reff
Steve Reff, 50 years of age, a native of Pennsylvania who moved to Anaheim six months ago, resided at 1327 Kenwood St., died Monday afternoon at the Santa Barbara Cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Claussen of 11711 S. Loara St., are making plans to spend the summer touring Europe. They will join a conducted tour after they cross the ocean by plane to visit relatives in Sweden and Germany.
Charles M. Rohne Death Last Friday
Charles M. Rohne, 75 years of age, a native of Fargo, N. Dakota who came to southern California in 1940, living in Anaheim almost continuously, died at his home, 200 S. Illinois Street, after a brief illness.
He is survived by one son, Charles Rohne of Anaheim; one brother, Frederick C. Rohne of Seattle, Wash.; two granddaughters, Mrs. Marjorie Champawat of Anaheim and Miss Barbara Rohne of Berkeley and one great granddaughter.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Minneapolis.
Funeral services were conducted at Hilgenfeld chapel Monday at 2 o'clock. Interment was in the family plot in Fairhaven cemetery.
Anna H. Murray Death on Sunday
Anna H. Murray, 74, a native of Illinois who came to California in 1917 and who has lived in Anaheim for 35 years, died Sunday at the family home, 911 E. Sycamore St., after a brief illness.
She is survived by her husband, Albert R. Murray; one son, Lomen W. Murray of Lakewood; one niece, Mrs. Betty Atchison of Costa Mesa and one niece and three nephews in the east.
Funeral services were conducted in Hilgenfeld chapel Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial in Melrose Abbey cemetery.

Funeral services will be conducted in Hilgenfeld chapel Thursday, today, at 2 p.m. Rev. Carlton C. Buck of Fullerton will officiate and burial will be in Anaheim cemetery.
Katie McCray, 90 Years of Age, Dies
Mrs. Katie McCray, born in Germany 90 years ago, passed away at the Anaheim Lutheran Home on So. Walnut Street, on Friday of last week, Mar. 16. She had been a resident of Anaheim for ten years.
She had no survivors.
Funeral services were held Monday at 9:20 p.m., from the Lutheran Home chapel with the Rev. T. G. Gohnke officially Interment was in Fairhaven cemetery with Backs, Campbell and Kaulbars Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

1 package raspberry gelatin
2 tablespoons lemon juice
¼ teaspoon salt

1 package lemon gelatin

Drain and pit cherries. Heat syrup; dissolve raspberry gelatin in it.

1¼ cups cherry syrup (or add water to make 1¼ cups)

2 tablespoons lemon juice
¾ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 package lemon gelatin
1½ cups boiling water
1 cup cottage cheese, small curd
Drain and pit cherries. Heat syrup; dissolve raspberry gelatin in it. Add lemon juice, sugar and salt; chill until thick and syrupy. Add the cherries and pour into a 1-quart mold; chill until firm. Dissolve the lemon gelatin in the boiling water and chill. Add the cottage cheese and whip until foamy throughout. When the raspberry-cherry gelatin is firm, pour the lemon, cottage cheese, gelatin mixture over it. Chill and serve on salad greens. Serves 6 to 8.
STEW OF DISTINCTION
1½ pounds lamb for stew, cut in 1½-inch cubes
2 tablespoons lard or drippings
3 cups hot water
4 carrots, cut lengthwise
1 stalk celery, small, out in 4-inch pieces
6 medium white onions
6 medium potatoes, halved
1½ teaspoons salt
½ teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Brown the lamb in lard or drippings. Add hot water, cover and simmer slowly for 1½ hours. About 45 minutes before serving, add carrots, celery, onions and potatoes. Season. Serve lamb in center of a large chop plate surrounded by the vegetables arranged neatly. Sprinkle meat with chopped parsley. Thicken the cooking liquid for gravy. Heft: 14 so many servings.

Kenneth B. Grimm Taken By Death
Kenneth B. Grimm, an employee of the City of Anaheim since 1952, passed away at his home at 18191 Serrano Road on Thursday of last week, Mar. 15. He was born in Oregon 68 years ago.
He was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal church and of the Masonic Lodge in Oregon.
Surviving are his wife, Mary D. Grimm of the home; two sons, Kenneth B. Grimm Jr., and William Grimm, both of Fairfield, Calif., one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Truesdall of Fullerton; one brother, Earl Grimm in Oregon and four grandchildren.
Services were held at the Backs, Campbell and Kaulbars chapel Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John K. Saville officiating.

Earl G. Carr Death Thursday
Earl G. Carr, a native of Iowa, passed away at his home at 1101 No. Palm Street, on Thursday of last week Mar. 15. He was 55 years old and had resided in Anaheim for the past nine years.
His only survivor is his wife, Helen B. Carr of the home.
Fuheral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the chapel of Backs, Campbell and Kaulbars mortuary with the Rev. A. J. Casebeer officiating. Interment was in Fairhaven cemetery.
SCALLOPED HAM AND CABBAGE
1 pound cooked ham, diced
¼ cup butter or margarine
¼ cup flour
2 cups milk
1¼ pounds (2 quarts) shredded cabbage
¼ cup grated American cheese
¼ cup chopped green pepper
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
½ cup dry bread crumbs
Melt ¼ cup butter or margarine, stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. Cook until thick. Steam or cook cabbage in boiling water for 5 minutes Add cheese and green pepper to white sauce.Add diced ham.Place a layer of partially cooked cabbage in a greased 2-quart baking dish, then a layer of ham and cheese sauce mixture.Remount.Melt butter or margarine
