"Teamwork Through Past and Present" was the theme of the February 14th meeting of the Benjamin Franklin P-TA, when Mrs. James Dilley, Founder's Day chairman, introduced the past presidents in attendance, who were as follows: Mesdames Jack Gledhill, L. N. Wisser, R. C. Hein, Wilbert H. Bonney, Fred Lee, Forrest Simonton, Glen Kirk, Kenyon Dawson and Carl Berneker.
The climax of the evening came with the presentation of an honorary life membership to Mrs. William Cook as a tribute to her work with Scouts, her church, and her husband's high school band group.
Civil Defense was also a topic of the meeting with Miss Adah Wilcox, principal of Thomas Jefferson school, explaining civil defense policies in the school system and fourth grade students demonstrating several "duck and cover" procedures. The importance of immunization in the event of any major catastrophe was stressed by Mrs. William Howe, school nurse, when she said that it would be necessary for adults, as well as children, to be immunized against fetanus, small pox and diphtheria, and that shots and vaccinations can be received from the Public Health Department free of charge.
The theme for tonight's meeting at 7:30 p.m., in the school auditorium will be "Children Still Come"

Entertain Guests At O.E.S. Courtesy Guest Night Party
Approximately 250 guests attended the courtesy night meet of Chispa Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, to make it one of the most important events of the local year. Eighteen chapters in the county were represented by courtesy officers as follows: Worth Matron, Grace Swartz, Huntington Beach; Worthy Patron, Beverly Goodwin, Laguna Beach; Worthy Matron, Florence Green; La Habra; Associate Worthy Trion, William Campbell, San Clemente; Secretary, Kathleen Jamie Fullerton; Treasurer, Della Hess Bueno Park; Conductress, Al Parkinson, Artesia; Associate Coductress, Mary Alice Grimshaw Santa Ana; Chaplain, Esther Freick, San Clemente; Marshal, Retha Kohls, Laguna Beach; Generalist, Tom Meader, Santa Ana Adah, Ann Meader, Brea; Ruth Patty Bennett, Fullerton; Esther Margery Taylor, Artesia; Martyn Ruth Cloer, Fullerton; Electra sephine Jackson, Orange; Ward Lillian Holland, Santa Ana; Fear bearer, Robert Ward, Garde Grove.

The theme for tonight's meeting at 7:30 p.m., in the school auditorium will be "Children Still Come First," and features Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Brownies. Mrs. Ervin Cook, Girl Scout and Brownie chairman, announced that the history of scouting will be narrated in a pageant by the 6th grade Girl Scouts, in which the flags of thirty-four nations, in addition to our own United States and California flags, will be displayed against the backdrop of a Swiss Chalet, replica of the chalet near Adelboden, Switzerland, the international home for Girl Scouts from all over the world.
The Swiss Chalet song, and a Polynesian game played with lumi sticks are to be presented by the two fifth grade Girl Scout troops, and the Brownies will dance a Swiss Polka.
Cub Scout Den 9 will entertain with a skit, according to Mrs. Grover Jones, Cub Scout chairman.
Second grade room mothers will be hostesses for the refreshment period following the election of officers.
Frank Galusha, Jr., Now Delta Chi at SC
Frank Edward Galusha, Jr., 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Galusha, Sr., 8902 Ranchito Street, Anaheim, has recently been initiated into Delta Chi Fraternity at the University of Southern California. Delta Chi is a national social fraternity at SC.
Galusha, a junior in the SC School of Journalism, graduated from Anaheim High School in 1951. Before attending SC, he spent two years in the Army and two years at Fullerton Junior college. He graduated from Fullerton JC in June, 1955.
Joaquin T. Tovar Claimed by Death
Joaquin T. Tovar passed away at his home at 325 E. Maple St., Fullerton, on Saturday at the age of 77 years. He was born in Mexico and came to California in 1946.
Survivors include four sons, Lawrence and Robert of Anaheim, Joaquin of Fullerton, and Manuel of Santa Ana; and one daughter, Mrs. Caroline Tafolla of Buena Park.
He was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church in Fullerton.
Holy Rosary was read Monday evening at 7:30 at Backs, Campbell and Kaulbars chapel with Mass Tuesday at 9 a.m., at St Mary's church. Interment was in Holy Sepulchre cemetery.
Sacred Concert Is Program Methodist Union Meeting
Arthur E. Sipherd, vice president of the Methodist Union, announced today the March meeting program will be a sacred concert by the Chapman College Madrigal Singers and Concert Choir. The meeting is to be held at the Orange First Methodist church with dinner at 6:15 p.m. and the concert at 7:30 in the sanctuary.
All Methodists and their friends in Orange county are invited to the concert. Only 200 can be served for dinner.
There will be other features on the program which should insure a good time to be had by all attending.

Past matrons and patrons were escorted and presented in East Sixteen worthy matrons, worthy patrons, 16 associate trons and eight associate patrons were honored in this way.
Presiding over the business session were Edna and Frank Lohrart, worthy matron and patron Chispa Chapter. Mrs. Claire Li eney of Fullerton gave readings which were the program highlighter These were entitled, "This Business of Remarriage," and "The Mammy Washerwoman."
General chairmen for the evening was Mary Renstrom, associate worthy matron, and Ever Waymire, associate worthy tron. They were escorted and presented in the East and spain briefly in welcome to the assisted guests.
Coartey officers all were sages of hearts and roses who were copied in miniature in coages for all members. The heath and flower theme was used at tea tables, and a doll dressed satin and net stood at a "gateway to spring."
Refreshments were arranged Mabel Abbott and her co-chairman, Eunice Schaeffler. Presideatethe tea table and coffee tucked were Gladys Woodward, Adelle Hunt, Mae Brown and Cliff Wilson. Girl Scouts Plan Day at Disneyland To Open Scout Wk.
Anaheim Girl Scouts, 2000 strong, will march down Disneyland's Main street on Saturday morning, March 10, in opening exercises of a day of fun to commemorate Girl Scout Week. March 11-17. Michigan Round-Up delegates will be flag bearers for the parade and will be followed by Senior Scouts, Intermediates and Brownies, in lines of eight abreast in that order.
Following the parade, each girl will have the opportunity of taking two free rides in the park, and may do as she likes until noon. A 12 everyone will meet inside the circus tent for a sack lunch and surprise show.
The outing has been arranged through the cooperation of Dorothy Manes, Youth Administrator of Disneyland, Inc., and the Public Relations Department of the Anaheim Girl Scout Council, Inc., headed by Mrs. Donald Taggart.
All Scouts and their leaders have been requested to be in uniform for identification purposes and for moving pictures by the International News Reel Service.
CADETS PROMOTED
Five of Anaheim's Cadet Corps officers at the high school have been promoted by Governor Goodwin J. Knight. They are Cadet Captain Mike Rainy who will be Cadet Major; Cadet 1st Lieutenant
Pharmacist Assn. To Install New Officers
The Orange County Pharmaceutical Association has planned an installation of new officers and dinner party at the Disneyland Hotel Mar. 10 at which time George Baird, secretary of the Southern California Pharmaceutical Assn., will be the installing officer.
Newly elected officers of the group are Hubert Persol of Corona del Mar, president; Nobel White of Huntington Beach, first vice-president; Paul Calhoun of Santa Ana, second vice-president; George Greenwell of Santa Ana, secretary, and Glenn Pyeatt of Tustin, treasurer.
Entertainment for the evening will be provided by the Arthur Murray Dance Studios. Door prizes will be awarded.

NEW RESIDENTS
Among new residents in Anaheim are newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Edward B. Heinz who were recently married at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Long Beach.
They have been on a honeymoon in Carmel and Santa Barbara and are now making their home at 728 N. Olive St. She is the former Helen Riceland of Long Beach, daughter of the L. Ricelands of Minneapolis, Minn. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Claye of 9502 S. Euclid ave., Anaheim.
He is now assigned to the White Inch.

Serving at the U. S. Naval Communication Facility, Yokosuka Japan is Walter E. Dennis Jr. communications technician seen man USN, son of Mr., and Mr Walter E. Dennis of 1167 Vermont ave., Anaheim.
Marine Pvt. Lawrence A. Fecher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo M Felcher of 1501 E. Elm, Anaheim landed on Iwo Jima Feb. 17 during an assault exercise by the 3rd Marine Division.
The exercise is the largest participated in by the division since 1954. A battalion of the division 3rd Regiment acted as an "enemy force defending the island."
While ashore the Marine four many scars of WWII still unhealed. The otherwise peaceful island is now used as an Air Force way station and bears little reservation to the devastated real estate that cost the Marines thousands of casualties in WWII.
At completion of the exercise the Marines will return to the buses in Japan and Okinawa.
Graduated from the U. S. Navy Pre-Flight School at Pensacola Flla., last Feb. 10, was Naval Aviation Cadet Alfred I. Claye, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Claye of 9502 S. Euclid ave., Anaheim.
He is now assigned to the White Inch.
