L. Polk & Co., announced final registration figures in 1955. The figures gave Chevrolet a total of 67,405 new passenger cars and 33,891 trucks for a combined margin of 101,298 units over its largest competitor. Chevrolet passenger car registrations reached 1,640,681, said the report, with trucks hitting 1,791. H. Kesting, general manager, Chevrolet, pointed out that the records set a new record for the industry and marked the twentieth consecutive year Chevrolet led the industry in passenger sales. "We further feel our dealers deserve special commendation for their sales performance in what probably has been the most competitive year in the history of the automobile market. They have again proved their superiority as a retail selling organization." The 1955 record-smashing passenger car registration for Chevrolet was 15.5 percent above the previous industry high of 1,402.339 units set in 1950 by Chevrolet. Chevrolet registrations reached 1,417,453 passenger cars in 1954. Chevrolet truck registrations were up 12.5 percent from 1954. Keating cited that the truck volume alone exceeded the sales of two-thirds of the industry's passenger car manufacturers. PLAN APRIL WEDDING An April 15 wedding is being planned by Miss Noraleen Lotterle and Donald A. Dugdale. They are both associated with the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company, and are graduates of Anaheim Union High school. The betrothed announcement was made by the parents of the bride-elect, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Lotterle of 717 N. Pauling st. He is the son of the Burt Dugdales of Los Alamitos. Robert R. Finch in Graduating Class Robert R. Finch, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Finch, Anaheim, was a member of the February graduating class of the Wright-Patterson AF Base, Non-Commissioned Officers Academy, in Ohio. The Academy was established to provide higher-level training for Air Force non-commissioned officers who have chosen to make the Air Force a lifetime career. Sgt. Finch is assigned with the 2750th USAF Hospital, Wright-Patterson AF Base, as a Medical Administrative Supervisor.
