Wedding Rites Unite Joan Royer, D. Sandersfeld Rev. Edwin Pflug officiated at a double ring ceremony in Zlon Lutheran church which united in marriage Joan Carol Royer and Donald Lee Sandersfeld. Both the church and the Optimist club, where the reception was held, were decorated in red and white in keeping with the Christmas season. Tall lighted tapers were arranged with bouquets of red poinsettias and white stock. The aslite was marked with white satin ribbons at the pews and a white carpet. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Myrell O. Royer, 726 N. Philadelphia St., was given inmarriage by her father. She wore a ballerina length gown of white satin and nylon lace that had been made and worn by her sister, Mrs. John Gulick, as a bride four years before. A pearled halo held a short veil and she carried a heart shap-ed bouquet of orchids and stephanotis. Mrs. Gulick, who attended her sister as matron of honor, wore a ballerina length gown of red velvet, and carried red roses and white stephanotis. The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold R. Sandersfeld of 9626 Brookhurst St., was attended by Ray Packard of Garden Grove as best man. Ushers were Don Sagen and John Gulick. Special guests were Mrs. Matilda Winters of Ohio, the bride's grandmother who is spending the winter in Anaheim; Mrs. Anna Sandersfeld, the bridegromm's grandmother; and Mrs. Wilda Burkett, his great grandmother. The new Mrs. Sandersfeld chose a green tweed suit with brown accessories for a honeymoon trip to Las Vegas. They will be at home after Dec. 20 at 630 N. Sabina Street. Verner T. Miller Passes Suddenly Verner T. Miller passed away very suddenly at his home at 9772 Webster street on Friday, Dec. 16. He was born in North Dakota 61 years ago and had resided in Anaheim for 21 years. Survivors are his wife, Huldah L. Miller of the home; two sons, Ted of Boise, Idaho, and Duane of Chula Vista; four daughters, Mrs. Lois Rettig, Mrs. Betty Thom, Mrs. Bea Welton and Mrs. Marilyn Campbell, all of Anaheim: one brother, Murrell Miller of Los Angeles, and two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Bolander of Long Beach and Mrs. Bessie Millar of White Plains. Leslie W. Casebler Death on Tuesday Leslie W. Casebler passed at his home at 327 W Street last Tuesday. He had resided in Anaheim past 30 years. Surviving are his wife Casebere of the hometown daughters, Mrs. Daisy J Garden Grove, Mrs. Peirold of Lakewood and Nees Kirk of Anaheim; one win Callison of Garden mother, Mrs. Daisy Jenny Angeles; and two sisters da Davis and Miss Keeb both of Los Angeles. Funeral services are from the chapel of Backbell and Kaulbars Morning afternoon, Thursday, with the Rev. A.J.Castor of the First Christian officiating. Interment in Anaheim cemetery. Mrs. Cruzita Oropeza of age, passed away at 235½ Bradford Ave., on Tuesday. She was bona and had resided in for 13 years before Placentia two years ago. She leaves her husbands Oropeza of the home; one ward Oropeza of Los Angeles four daughters, Mrs.In Miss Anita Oropeza, M Castro, all of Placentia. Survivors are his wife, Huldah L. Miller of the home; two sons, Ted of Boise, Idaho, and Duane of Chula Vista; four daughters, Mrs. Lois Rettig, Mrs. Betty Thom, Mrs. Bea Welton and Mrs. Marilyn Campbell, all of Anaheim; one brother, Murrell Miller of Los Angeles, and two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Bolander of Long Beach and Miss Beatrice Miller of Whitfier, auditor for City of Anaheim. He was a member of the First Baptist church and was active in Civil Air Patrol, receiving his wings last week. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist church with the Rev. Robert Kevorkian, pastor, officiating. Interment was in Rose Hills Memorial Park with funeral arrangements in charge of Backs, Campbell and Kaulbars Mortuary. Mrs. Cruzita Oropeza of age, passed away at 235½ Bradford Ave., on Tuesday. She was borne mona and had resided in Placentia two years ago. Funeral services are being held from the chapel of Backs, Campbell and Kaulbars Mortuary this afternoon, Thursday, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. A. J. Casebeer, pastor of the First Christian church, officiating. Interment will be in Anaheim cemetery. Mrs. Cruzita Oropeza Passes Away Tues. Mrs. Cruzita Oropeza, 49 years of age, passed away at her home at 235½ Bradford Ave., Placentia, on Tuesday. She was born in Pomona and had resided in Anaheim for 13 years before moving to Placentia two years ago. She leaves her husband, Cruz Oropeza of the home; one son, Edward Oropeza of Los Angeles; and four daughters, Mrs. Inez Segovia, Miss Anita Oropeza, Mrs. Gloria Castro, all of Placentia, and Mrs. Mrs. Ruth Parsons Claimed by Death Mrs. Ruth Parsons, a native of Connecticut, passed away at her home at 511 No. Sabina St., on Friday. She had resided in Anaheim for nine years. She is survived by her husband, Herbert C. Parsons of the home. The deceased was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal church and of the Order of Eastern Star in Connecticut. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the chapel of Backs, Campbell and Kaulbars Mortuary with the Rev. John Kimball Saville, rector of St. Michael's church, reading the service. The body is being shipped today, Thursday, to Naugatuck, Connecticut, for interment.
