Junior Assistance League Begins
1955-56 Season
The Anaheim Junior Assistance League officially opened its 1955-56 season when it met at the home of Mrs. Kevin Sweoney, 716 Westwood PL., with Mrs. Robert Truxaw and Miss Joyce Sweoney co-hostessing the event. Mrs. Frederick Rusch presided as the group enthusiastically discussed activities for the coming year.
Her year's provisional membership completed, Mrs. Sweency was welcomed into the organization as an active member by Mrs. Russell Hess, membership chairman.
Mrs. Ross Walker, project chairman, reported that the League's second annual presentation of the Children's Theater will be Nov. 19 at the high school auditorium, "Sleeping Beauty" will be staged by the famous Lesseill Marionettes.

Assistance Begins in 1956 Season

HOME DEPT MEETS
When the Anaheim Home Department met on Tuesday at Grace Lutheran church, Marion Prentiss, home advisor, led a discussion of "Our Orange County Market Basket". After a share-the-cost luncheon at noon, Mrs. M. L. Tuck Bose described her trip to Europe. Mrs. Nora Fricke presided.

Fullerton to Have New Postal Station
The Post Office Department regional headquarters in San Francisco announced today that it is advertising for competitive bids for a proposed new local station at Fullerton.
Regional operations manager O. H. Fuller said the Department will lease a building containing approximately 2400 square feet for a period of five or 10 years in the vicinity of Valencia and Brookhurst Aves., or Orangethorpe and Brookhurst Aves.
Fuller said, "The new postal station at Fullerton is needed to permit the extension and expansion of postal services to keep pace with the rapid business and residential development in the Fullerton area."
Prospective bidders can obtain detailed information from Postal Inspector D. A. Pressley, Room 701, Main Post Office building, Temple and Spring Sts., Los Angeles.
