Basement High in Looks
From the least lived-in part of the house to the most lived-in is a typical transformation that takes place in a basement when it's converted into an attractive recreation room. It's a cool retreat in summer and a cory one in winter, for chats, television, games and refreshment.

Jacqueline Cone, James Harrison, Wed on Sunday
White stock, gladili and dainty baby breath decorated the altar of the First Presbyterian church for the marriage of Miss Jacqueline Ann Cone, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett M. Cone of 548 S. West St., Anaheim, and James Robert Harrison, nephew of Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Walker of Lake Arrowhead, last Sunday. The Rev. Roland Anderson performed the double ring ceremony. White ribbon bows marked the pews along the pathway of the bride.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a gown of imported embroidered white nylon tulle over white satin in walt-length, fashioned with a very full skirt, fitted bodice and tiny jacket. Flowers were white roses and lily of the valley. Her fingertip illusion veil was held in place by a tiny sequin embroidered head piece and for a sentimental accent, she wore an antique gold chain which had been worn by her mother and grandmother at their weddings.
Candlelighters were Miss Virlee Elliott and Miss Karen Elliott, wearing nylon tulle and wristlets of pink carnations.
William Talevich was soloist with Mrs. Talevich at the console of the organ, who also played the traditional wedding marches.
Maid of honor was her sister, Miss Mary Cone, Miss Patricia Mattox and Miss Patricia Corey were bridesmaids. They were all gowned in blue nylon tulle and lace and carried blue-centered carnations.
The reception was held at the home of the bride with Mrs. Cone, mother of the bride, receiving John Adams, second president of the United States, was the lawyer for the defense of the British soldiers arrested after the Boston Massacre, according to the Encyclopaedia Britannica.
