Give a U.S. Savings Bond!
Nothing could be more appreciated, more appropriate for your graduate than "the present with a future"—a United States Savings Bond! So easy to give—no sizes or colors to worry about. So wonderful to receive—because it becomes more valuable as time goes on.
The Bond you give now may well be a start toward the realization of the dreams of Commencement Day. Dreams made possible by a sure, systematic plan of saving through Bonds! Give the gift that grows with the years—a constant reminder of your thoughtfulness, and a symbol of his faith in the future.
Give Yourself the Gift of Security!
If you haven't found a successful way of saving for the future—find out today about the sure, systematic Payroll Savings Plan. Here's all you do:
Go to your company's pay office, choose the amount you want to save—a couple of dollars a payday, or as much as you wish. That money will be set aside for you before you even draw your pay. And automatically invested in U. S. Series E Savings Bonds which are turned over to you.
Watch Your Savings Grow!
If you sign up to save $7.50 a week, 19 years 8 months will bring you $10,313—a small fortune to retire on! If you save $18.75 a week, you'll have $10,700 in less than 10 years!
Savings Bonds earn interest at an average of 3% per year, compounded semiannually, when held to maturity! And they can go on earning interest for as long as 19 years and 8 months if you wish, giving you back 80% more than you put in!
Eight million working men and women are building their security with the Payroll Savings Plan. For your sake, and your family's, too, how about signing up today? If you are self-employed, ask your banker about the Bond-A-Month Plan.
