Ceramics Slated For County Fair
Ceramics will be included in the Fine Arts Department of the 1955 Orange County Fair, according to Ernest R. Norton of Santa Ana, supervisor of Arts and Hobbies.
The new classification will be open only to amateur ceramists residing in Orange county, and there will be both beginners and advanced sections. Categories include low-fired ceramics, high-fired ceramics, and original sculpture in ceramics.
No cash awards will be made this year, Norton said, but there will be ribbons and special awards.
The Fine Arts Department has been moved to new quarters in the Artercraft Center at the west side of the Fairgrounds.
